This wax melt smelled just like an old-fashioned cherry cola, fizz included! This one lacked scent strength and a decent scent throw. It also played out too fast. For the price, we expect better.

Intro To My Wax Melt Review
I’ve been dying to try the new wax melts from Bath & Body Works. They were running a special 3 for $15, so I thought that was a great time to jump in and try them. First up? I couldn’t resist Fountain Cola – the name conjured up dime stores and penny candy. It sounded so retro and so much fun. I was super excited to try it!
First Impression of My Wax Melt
I was a bit disappointed with the size of my wax melts once I received them. The clamshells just seemed so small in my hands! I checked the label and noted it was 2 ounces of wax. I remember seeing that on the website but I guess it didn’t fully register until the melt was in my hand. Comparing it to my usual ScentSationals wax melts, there was a difference. And not in a good way.
Still, I was excited to see what Fountain Cola was all about. I took a quick whiff and…oh my! Cherry cola!!! That’s exactly what this smelled like on cold sniff!
Fizzy Cola, Vanilla Syrup, Hint of Cherry
I definitely got the cherry notes in this wax melt. Not just a hint – it was full on, quite prominent. Right up there with the sweet, syrupy cola notes. It even smelled a little fizzy! LOVED!
How Did My Wax Melt Perform?
I used a 24W bulb melter in my large, open living area for this wax melt. I started out with two cubes because that’s my standard protocol. I left the wax melt to warm and returned a few minutes later. It wasn’t long before I was smelling that fizzy cola smell. It was so realistic – just like a freshly poured soda. I could even smell the bubbles, if that makes sense.
As the wax warmed, the cherry scent was distinct. Not overpowering but definitely more than a hint. It made this scent smell just like a cherry vanilla coke and I loved it.
What I didn’t love was the scent throw. I could smell the scent right around the area I was in but not throughout the open living space. The scent strength was on the mild side, too. Bummer! I left these cubes to melt most of the day, but the scent had fizzled out about half the day in. Another bummer.
Closing To My Wax Melt Review
I loved, loved, loved this wax melt scent from B&BW! I just wish it were stronger and that the throw was better. And I wished it lasted longer. I certainly wouldn’t repurchase this at regular price, but if there was a sale, I’d snap them up.
I think this is a great scent to try if you’d like to try something different, this one might float your boat.
