Intro To My Wax Melt Review
I know summer is coming to an end, but I’m really not a seasonal melter. I like to use whatever tickles my fancy, and lately it was this Blueberry Limeade wax melt from Goose Creek Candle Company. I picked this gem up during one of their awesome sales and was saving it for…who knows? I decided it was high time to try it.
First Impressions of My Wax Melt
I loved, loved, LOVED the look of these wax melts. The picture of this ice, cold blueberry/lime drink on the cover was so inviting. The blue coloring was a deep blue that instantly made me feel relaxed. I took the lid off and took a deep whiff. Blueberries! The initial scent of blueberries was unmistakable and it was strong. The end whiff caught me with a bit of tartness. Yum!
A true splash of summer with every sip. Delight in this refreshing blend, blueberry limeade. Prominent scent notes: Top: Juicy Blueberries, Wild Raspberry; Mid: Lime, Lemon, Orange; Base: Sugar, Vanilla
I went back to see if I could get all those notes on cold sniff, and I couldn’t. My nose detected the juicy blueberries and then the tangy lime. I was ready to start melting!
How Did My Wax Melt Perform?
I used a 24W bulb melter and put in 2 cubes in my large, open living area. I immediately started smelling the strong scent of blueberries. Juicy and sweet and yum! It was not long after that I started smelling the tangy lime. It was really tart but the harshness was rounded out from the sweet blueberry scent. I would say with the two polar opposites, this was more sweet than tart.
I did not get vanilla or the other notes. Not individually, at least. The scent was fairly strong, I think mostly because of the blueberries. The throw was fantastic, as I could smell it on down the halls and before even entering this space.
The two cubes lasted several hours for me non-stop. I do wish it would have lasted on into the evening, but it did fizzle out before then. Still, the scent was fantastic, so I was ready to start melting some more cubes.
Closing To My Wax Melt Review
To me, this was a great mix of sweet and tart. The blueberry was the more dominant scent, but I could definitely get the lime. The scent strength was really good and the throw was fantastic. There were no bakery notes in this – no crust, saltiness – nothing like that. All about the fruits and all good. If you like a little tart mixed with your sweet, you’re most likely to enjoy this one.
