Cozy Sweater – Yankee Candle Review

Introduction to my review:

After hitting all the wondrous Yankee sales and with my arsenal totally full now… it’s time to get going on all my Yankee reviews. I’m on a roll!! My goal is to get every scent reviewed for Candlefind. I can do it!

Up next… Cozy Sweater. This candle is not what I expected at all. I bought it to review for fall but the timing didn’t work out as planned. Luckily, this fragrance is great any time of the year.

What did my Cozy Sweater candle look like?

This candle was their classic 22oz large jar. The label shows a picture of a thick cream colored sweater with the Yankee logo on it. The wax was a creamy ivory color and had one wick.

What did my Cozy Sweater candle smell like?

Let’s start off with the scent description for Cozy Sweater:

“There’s nothing quite as comfy as curling up in an oversized sweater, soft as a flower petal, on a cool fall day. This fragrance’s warm touches of musk and patchouli will have you kicking back and relaxing in no time at all. You’ll find a nice floralcy to the scent, accompanied by a warm base . . . almost amber-like. The neutral color of the wax was inspired by the darker wool fibers in a fisherman’s sweater.”

Cold sniff… I liked it. It’s not what I expected though – in a good way. Any time there is a scent with clothing tied to it, it brings to mind a fabric softener type scent. Cozy Sweater however didn’t smell anything like fabric softener to me. Reading the description, I searched for patchouli and really couldn’t make that out either. To me, this scent was a soft floral with musky undertones. It was really pretty and soothing. The best way to describe this scent… have you ever smelled an article of clothing someone has worn all day and picking it up the next day, you can still smell remnants of the perfume they wore? That is what I imagined when smelling this fragrance. A soft perfume type scent. I really liked it.

Scent strength – this gave a soft and subtle throw. It wasn’t powerful but it did fill my large bedroom with fragrance you couldn’t help noticing the moment you walked into the room. Perfume-y scents can give me a headache if they’re too strong so I was happy with the strength of this candle.

In closing… this isn’t just a fall scent in my opinion… this candle would be great any time of the year. It’s soft, subtle but soothing all at the same time and very pretty.

How did my Yankee candle burn?

This candle burned pretty good. It was very slow burning and took awhile to get a full melt pool but it eventually did and burned cleanly all the way down. No soot or smoke.

Closing to my Cozy Sweater review:

I enjoyed this candle and would purchase it again. It was really pretty and I almost want to say delicate. To me, this is an all year type of scent… not just for Fall.

Yankee candles are pretty pricey so if you plan on giving Cozy Sweater a try, I’d wait for one of their amazing sales. They have them pretty frequently which is nice.
