First impression of Banana Berry Smoothie:
I was so excited to see a slew of new Better Homes & Gardens Spring scents out on my local Walmart’s shelves. So many good ones!! Bakery, floral, fresh and lots of fruities! Banana Berry Smoothie is listed on Walmart’s website but not for sale online, nor is there a scent description on the listing. Bummer!! I like adding the description to my reviews for reference but it isn’t meant to be with this one. I will say this… Banana Berry Smoothie smelled exactly like the name. Berries and bananas. I’m not a huge fan of banana scents but I’m always open to trying one. The added berry sweetened the deal so here I go.
Melting Banana Berry Smoothie:
I used the entire clamshell pack (3 cubes each) in two electric melters in my great room. The second the wax hit the dishes, the scent was all around the melters. After a good 30 minutes, the aroma was saturating my entire house and it was super strong!! The scent – truthfully and I’m sad to say, I didn’t care for it. Cold sniff seemed okay but once melting, the aroma took on a kind if synthetic smell I didn’t like. Berry stood out the most but all the other notes blended with it smelled too harsh for me. It wasn’t sweet or smooth – just, I don’t know… fake. I asked my husband what he thought (just for a solid second opinion) and he didn’t care for it either. Said it smelled unpleasant. I feel bad when I don’t care for a scent but, I’m glad it wasn’t just me with this one. It’s also safe to say, this will not be a repeat buy for me.
Strength – I would rate Banana Berry Smoothie a 10 out of 10 in any size room. It was a knock-your-socks-off strong fragrance.
In closing – even though I didn’t care for Banana Berry Smoothie… you still might. Every nose is different, so when you’re at your local Walmart and you see this scent – pop one open and smell the wax. See what you think. Who knows what you will think.
