Fluffy Pancakes Goose Creek Candle Review

First impression of Fluffy Pancakes:
Fluffy Pancakes was a bakery scent that had my mouth watering before I even purchased the candle. Warm buttermilk pancakes loaded with maple syrup? Oh yes please! At least that’s what I imagined.
Let’s start off with the scent description for Fluffy Pancakes:
Morning! The smell of warm pancake batter & molten marshmallows fill the air.
Top: Warm Pancake Batter, Marshmallows
Mid: Soft Maple Syrup, Caramel
Base: Vanilla Bean, Sugar
Marshmallows?! I’ve never had pancakes with marshmallows but, heck yeah! I’m game. As long as the warm pancake batter and maple syrup is the base to this scent, I’ll be happy. First sniff, the wax smelled very light so it was hard to distinguish what this candle actually smelled like. What I could detect was the sweet maple syrup so that’s a good sign. Hoping everything else in the description comes to life once the candle is burning.
Let’s get to it!
I lit my Fluffy Pancakes candle in a small room to start out and that’s where it stayed till the very end. The aroma… very light. Keep in mind, I burned this candle in the tiniest room in my house (my powder room) and even in such a tiny space, the fragrance was extremely subtle. With my nose up to the candle, I could smell the pancake batter with maybe hints of vanilla but no maple syrup, caramel or marshmallows. And I tried folks. I lingered in my powder room often. I even kept the door shut to make sure the aroma filled the room and even then, the fragrance remained subtle. What I could smell was nice – a warm sort of bread/vanilla scent.
Just an FYI – I went back to Goose Creek’s website and read all the reviews for Fluffy Pancakes and it left me even more confused. This candle got a slew of 5-star reviews. Did all those customers get a different candle than I did? Did I receive a dud? Who knows. All I can do is write my review based off the experience I had and bottom line, this candle had very little fragrance. (((insert sad face.)))
How Did My Fluffy Pancakes Burn?
This candle burned fine. No wick issues other than keeping them trimmed before each lighting. Clean burning from beginning to end.
Closing to My Review:
Fluffy Pancakes sounded so promising but ended in pure disappointment for me. I’m very bummed because I wanted so much to love this scent. I was prepared to love it in fact but, it wasn’t meant to be. It smelled good – it was just too lightly scented to enjoy.

(Fluffy Pancakes VS Maple Pancakes)
I too was disappointed when I purchased the fluffy pancake during a flash sale, mind you I had never bought anything from GC only BABW during their winter sale. I could not smell anything, not even a vanilla scent. Being that I purchased so many things at that time I decided to email them. they’re customer service was awesome and gave me a credit. I purchased the maple pancake flavored candle and to my surprised I liked it even better than BABW. I Purchased more and I like the fact that it’s a year round scent unlike BABW whom I adore. Now to be fair. I’ve had to return many awful smelling candles back to bath and Body. That need to be discontinued, I will sale That is my all time favorite Candle from Goose Creek, They did win in contrast to BABW. my only gripe is that when is melts mid way, the candle glass gets very hot and it scares me. Other than that i’ll continue to purchase, just not Fluffy no scent pancake.
The reason you see only five star reviews is they do not publish negative ones. I have had your experience on more than one candle as of late. Any negative comments or reviews or always deleted. It is not just you. Really sad because I was so hopeful had found a great company.
