What did my candle smell like?

I don’t know what’s going on with For Every Body. I keep hearing rumors they closed but I still see candles all over the place so, I don’t know? Maybe they just closed their online presence. So until I find out, I’ll continue to review the candles I continue to find in stores.

And speaking of “find”… I actually found a few yummy ones at Joann’s craft store and purchased them to review. The prices were great. $5 dollars for an 18oz candle. Sweeeet!! My guess is it won’t be very strong but I’m good with that and will just burn them in my bathrooms. Funny how I’m finding oddball candles from crafting stores lately – which is great. The more, the merrier. My local one had a display of For Every Body Candles and one fragrance I had to purchase was Vanilla Bean… I’m a sucker for sweet vanilla scents and this one smelled pretty yummy.

On to my review…

I couldn’t find a scent description for Vanilla Bean but just smelling the wax told me everything. It smelled like a sweet and creamy vanilla. Nothing synthetic or fake about it. The label on the candle showed two scoops of vanilla ice cream with vanilla beans displayed in the background. Yummy!!

I stuck to a small powder room to test this candle in and ended up leaving it there from beginning to end. The scent was extremely faint, so faint, you had to be right next to the candle to even smell the aroma. Total bummer but I kind of expected that. What I could smell was a sweet and creamy vanilla. Would have loved it had it been a tad stronger.

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 1. It was that light.

How did my candle burn?

My candle burned decent. It did have issues reaching full melt pools with each lighting to it did tunnel a bit. Not too bad though… just the outer corners.

Closing to my review:

For Every Body has always been great with their bakery scents and this fragrance was pretty yummy. The only bummer was the strength. For 5 dollars… I’m not really disappointed.

I hope this company hasn’t gone out of business and I do have a few more candles to review from them so stay tuned.
