Type: 4.94oz candle
Fragrance: Sweet Lemon
Scent Strength: Light
First impression of Sweet Lemon Paris:
Cute packaging! That was my first impression of this candle and what drew me to it. The moment I smelled the wax, in my cart it went. The wax smelled just as the name implies… a sweet and refreshing lemon.
Here is the scent description I pulled from World Market’s website:
Inspired by the City of Light, our sweet lemon-scented candle is crafted of hand-poured wax in a chic black jar and packaged in a graphic giftable box.
The description doesn’t really tell you much about the scent, but it truly does smell like a sweet lemon. Not a lemonade kind of lemon but more of a fresh kind of herbal lemon. Let’s talk about the packaging – The box truly is very giftable. See picture above. The candle itself was a sleek black and small so in my tiny little powder room it went. Once the wick was lit, it took a good hour to reach a full melt pool and the aroma – I’m happy to report it stayed true… my power room was filled with a sweet and refreshing herbal lemon that brought a smile to my face every time I walked into the room. Lemon does that to me. It’s just so clean and fresh – and happy.
Strength – definitely stick to a tiny room to burn this candle in should you give it a whirl. In a small room, I would rate this candle a 6/7 out of 10. Not super strong but enough to fill it with fragrance.
How did my candle burn?
This candle struggled a teeny bit reaching a full melt pool and some wax was left along the glass wall but it wasn’t significant. Other than that, great burn. No wick issues.
Closing to my review:
Sweet Lemon Paris was a decent candle and you can’t beat the $5-dollar price tag. That drew me in just as much as the fragrance itself. Just keep in mind the aroma is subtle so stick to a small room should you give this candle a try. The scent itself… a sweet herbal lemon that made me smile. It wasn’t an “OMG, I must have more” kind of fragrance but I really did enjoy it. ?
Cost Plus World Market has some interesting candles worth checking out. They aren’t the strongest on the block but they are pretty and great for small rooms. Take a look next time you’re there and see for yourself.
Happy candle hunting!
