What did my candle smell like?

I’m a sucker for sweet bakery scents so when I saw Sugar & Sprinkles, I had to purchase it. I chose the smaller 3oz size to burn in my bathroom which is not the norm since I usually always go for the bigger candles – every time. I’m learning though that smaller ones are a great way to test whether you want to invest in a larger jar. You can always go back right?

Here is the scent description for Sugar & Sprinkles:

Yummy buttercream frosting topped with a rainbow of colored sugar and sweet sprinkles.

Mmmm!! Smelling the wax… it smelled so yummy and reminded me of sweet buttercream icing with lots of sugar. Exactly as the description and scent name implies. Exactly. This is a fragrance you could eat with a spoon if you could.

I lit this candle early morning in my powder room and came back to a sweet and delicious aroma of cake and buttercream frosting. It was so warm and authentic, it blew me away. I loved it. This little candle really held its own too, strength wise. After a good hour once lit, the fragrance spread throughout the room and even spilled into the hallway. I was very happy with the strength of this little candle considering a lot of bigger candles I purchase can’t even accomplish that.

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle an 8 in a small room. For its size… that’s pretty darn good.

How did my candle burn?

My candle burned perfect. Zero issues. Clean and even burn from beginning to end.

Closing to my review:

I really loved Sugar & Sprinkles and plan on purchasing it again but in the largest size. If you love true and authentic birthday cake scents, this candle has your name written all over it. You could smell it all… the warm cake and sugary frosting. And bonus… you get to hear the cool crackling sound from the wood wick as the candle burns. I love LOVE the sound effects and so do my kids. I catch them all the time lingering in the room I have one in and watching it burn when I have a wood wick going.

Wood Wick candles can now only be purchased through official retailers. Virginia Gift Brands no longer sells directly to the public. Total bummer. 🙁
