First impression of Spiced Coconut Milk:
Spiced Coconut Milk was a candle I simply couldn’t resist purchasing. I LOVE creamy coconut scents and coconut milk in wax usually smells super creamy and sweet to boot! My imagination went wild with this one.
Here is the scent description pulled from the bottom of the candle:
Warm toasted coconut, fresh cream, ground nutmeg.
Mmmm!! The moment I popped the lid off and put my nose in the candle, I closed my eyes and inhaled this scent. The wax smelled creamy and coconut’y for sure but it wasn’t as sweet or milky as I hoped. Nutmeg? Didn’t smell any nutmeg either but maybe that part will come out once the candle was burning.

I lit this candle in my master bedroom and waited for the coconut magic to begin. 15 minutes in, the scent started permeating my bedroom and it was, how shall I say this…… well, it kind of fell flat for me. With “toasted” in the description, I think I was expecting more of a coconut bakery but this fragrance didn’t seem bakery at all. It instead reminded me more of a coconut suntan lotion mixed with vanilla. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t the milky and sweet coconut I was hoping for.
Strength – I would rate this candle a 7 in a really large room. 8/9 in a medium to smaller rooms. It wasn’t super strong but gave a steady medium throw
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned fine. No wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish.
Closing to my review:
I’m pretty sad I didn’t love this candle. I wanted to since I’m such a huge fan of everything coconut but this scent just didn’t pull through for me. That’s a personal preference though. Next time you’re at a Bath & Body Works store and see this candle, smell one for yourself. If you love coconut scents (especially the smell of suntan lotion,) you may walk away with one.
Don’t see this candle listed on Bath & Body Works site, try one of their stores which tends to carry all their current fragrances more than online. It wasn’t that long ago I purchased this candle.
