A Closer Look at Rebel Potions
The owner of Rebel Potions has an obvious love for the macabre…in a good way. The skull wax melts have an incredible amount of detail, and the candle vessels are something to die for. (Sorry, we couldn’t help that one.) The popularity of this company is easily established with a 5-star rating in their Etsy shop. The clever scent names and wide variety of products makes this place a definite go-to over and over again.

We had some Nightmare on Elm-ish wax melts that were a part of our February subscription boxes that we chose to review for this spotlight article.
Freddy Krueger Melts
This set of wax melts was amazing as far as detail is concerned. The spookiness of the shapes was counterbalanced with the lovely aroma from each of the pieces. So fresh and sweetly floral with hints of rich chocolate notes. The beauty of the fragrance was unexpected when sniffing the ‘Elm Street’ sign, but we certainly welcomed the dichotomy.
The scent description reads: A blend of French lavender with hints of creamy milk chocolate, amber, & jasmine.
These wax melts were pretty powerful and very long lasting. When using the two smaller pieces, we got a couple of days use out of them in a hotplate melter. The larger one lasted through several tealights.
Overall Impression of Rebel Potions
The wax melts from Rebel Potions are really something special. Shopping on their site is an adventure, with some unique fragrance blends and adorable wax melt shapes. They have several other products that have piqued our interest, as well. It’s the wax melts, though, that will keep us coming back to this little indie shop over & over again.
