What did my candle smell like?
Mmm! I love pineapple fragrances when it’s warm outside so I couldn’t pass up purchasing this candle from Bath & Body Works. If you’re familiar with this brand, then you know this company knows their tropical fragrances.
Cold sniff… YUM!!!! The wax smelled like juicy pineapple slices. It was sugary, sweet and tropical… my mouth watered just smelling it cold!

Fresh tropical fragrance inspired by the beautiful pineapple fields and exotic green foliage of the Hawaiian Islands.
I’m partial to any Pineapple scent so I knew I would like this one. The description says “exotic green foliage” in the mix but I wasn’t really detecting anything green in this fragrance… to me, this scent was all pineapple. Juicy, sweet and sugary (mouthwatering) pineapple. A kind of tropical scent you want to drink or bath yourself in.
I lit this candle in my master bedroom and it took a good 30 minutes to really start noticing the aroma. Once burning… the fragrance mellowed out a bit. It was still a nice and zesty pineapple but it changed a little for me. Not bad, but not a “wow” kind of scent. I enjoyed it but out of all the pineapple scents Bath & Body Works carries… this was just average. To my nose anyway…..
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 7. Not super strong but gave a nice and steady medium scent throw.
How did my candle burn?
My candle burned great. No wick issues. Clean and even burn from start to finish.
Closing to my review:
This was a weird fragrance for me. It initially smelled really fresh and tropical but once burning… it didn’t impress me as much as I hoped it would. I can’t explain it other than yes, it was a sweet pineapple but out of all the scents from Bath & Body Works that smell similar… this stood out the least. It wasn’t as sweet as I hoped and the aroma seemed to fizzle out.
Would I purchase this fragrance again? Probably not. Sorry Bath & Body Works.

This candle still rates high because it did meet all the criteria we look for when reviewing… I just personally didn’t care for it.
