First impression of Passionberry Dreamsicle:

Passionberry Dreamsicle sounded like a perfect berry treat. I’m probably a little late getting this fragrance reviewed but I figure, better late than never.

I love sweet berry scents, add vanilla to the mix and I’m sold. What a pretty candle this was too with its rose-pink wax and diamond etched vessel. Gold Canyon has really changed the look of their candles over time and I like the change so far. The best part, they’re prices haven’t gone up that much over the years and that’s always a good thing for us candle lovers.

Okay, onto the scent.

Here is the scent description from Gold Canyon’s website:

Creamy. Dreamy. Irresistible. Notes of Passionfruit, Berries, Mulberry & Vanilla Crème.

First impression… I smelled sweet berries and vanilla cream the most. Maybe passion fruit but it was hard to tell. Mulberry? No. To me, mulberry is pretty tart and this candle smelled simply sweet and creamy. I detected no tartness, but who knows what elements will really come out once the candle was burning.

I lit this candle in my master bedroom to start out and it took a good 30 minutes to reach a full melt pool. From then on out… a sweet vanilla berry scent filled my bedroom. It wasn’t super strong but gave a nice and steady medium scent throw. Did I like the fragrance? I did but keeping it real… I thought is was just an “okay” fragrance, it wasn’t anything spectacular or a scent I wanted to scream from the rooftops how much I loved it. To me, it was a classic vanilla berry but nothing out of the ordinary.

Strength – I would rate this candle a 7 in a really large room. 10 in medium to smaller rooms.

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned pretty good. No wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish. It just burned very slow.

Closing to my review:

Passionberry Dreamsicle was a classic vanilla berry scent I enjoyed but one i won’t be purchasing it again as I pretty much stated above. Don’t take my word for it though, should you run across one, smell the candle and see for yourself. You may like it. We all have different tastes. 🙂 With that said, I don’t see this scent listed on Gold Canyon’s website right now but I’m it will be back. It wasn’t that long ago I purchased this candle.
