Pink Punch Gold Canyon Candle ReviewPink Punch

By Christina Rylan

Brand: Gold Canyon

Type: 16oz medium candle

Fragrance: Pink Punch

Scent Strength: Strong!

First impression of Pink Punch:

First thought when I saw this candle… loved the bright pink wax! It was a bright fuchsia pink and the aroma tied right into the color. I smelled a refreshing berry scent that kind of reminded me of a tart pink lemonade. Loved it right off the bat!

Here is the scent description for Pink Punch:

Effervescent, playful, feminine. Sparkling grapefruit, creamy coconut and dried raspberries.

Okay, I didn’t see lemon in that lineup but I’m telling you, this candle smelled like tart (pucker up) pink lemonade. I couldn’t make out any coconut but if that comes out once the candle was burning, I wouldn’t mind at all. I love coconut!!

Time to light my candle!

I stuck to a large room to burn this candle in and that’s where it stayed till the very end. Once the wicks were lit, it took a good 20 minutes to reach a full melt pool and the aroma… wowza!! My entire bedroom, open bathroom and even beyond the room smelled like pink lemonade all the way. Or Pink Punch… either/or works. For me, this scent was straight up lemonade. Coconut? Nope, but that’s okay. This scent was pretty perfect just as it was… a tangy citrus as the main ingredient with the perfect amount of raspberries and sugar – and boy was it strong. This candle not only filled my entire bedroom and open bathroom, but it basically scented the entire upper level of my home. That’s how powerful it was.

Which brings me to strength – I would rate this candle a 10 out of 10 in any size room. I LOVED the strength of this candle.

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned perfect. I did have to keep up on wick trimming before each lighting or the flames would get too high. Wick trimming is really important with most candles so definitely stay on top of that if you’re new to burning candles. It not only extends the life of your candle so it doesn’t burn too hot, it also keeps it from sooting or discoloring the glass.

Closing to my review:

I loved Pink Punch from Gold Canyon and am now kicking myself for not getting this fragrance in their larger candle size. I definitely recommend this one if you love tart and refreshing pink lemonade scents. That’s what this fragrance reminded me of. 100%. I also want to point out how pretty it was to watch burn. The diamond glass made it sparkle day and night and the bright pink wax added to the beauty of it. I loved watching this candle burn.

I’m for sure going back for more as soon as Pink Punch gets re-released. Crossing all my fingers that it does.

Happy candle hunting!
