Type: Scent Bursts
Fragrance: Orange Buttercream Cupcake
Scent Strength: Strong
First Impression:
Orange Buttercream Cupcake is one of my favorite scents from Better Homes and Gardens and the Scent Bursts version smelled exactly the same. A strong and sweet creamy orange cupcake scent. This fragrance in melts is so strong, mega strong actually so I was dying to see how the Scent Bursts perform and where the strength would be. So far I’ve tried Brownie Pecan Pie and the strength was soft to medium, depending on the size room you’re heating them up in. I’m hoping Orange Buttercream Cupcake will be stronger. We shall see.
I do love the fact that Scent Bursts are not messy with no wax to clean up. When I had Brownie Pecan Pie in my melters and I left it overnight, the first thing I do in the morning is clean out my melters before popping new scents in and I didn’t have to do that… I literally just had to tip the cup over and the paper fell out. No clean up at all. SO NICE!!! I did smell the paper to see if there was any scent left and there were remnants of the fragrance but it was very light so these definitely do not last forever. I think it really depends on how long they stay in your melter and how hot it gets.
Okay, time to heat up Orange Buttercream Cupcake!
Warming in my melter:
I once again ball parked how much paper to put in and just layered the bottom of each electric melter to start off. I also figured out that if the scent starts getting too light… add more paper and swish it around to evenly distribute. Easy peasy!
Once the paper was in my melters, it literally took minutes to start noticing the fragrance. After 20 minutes, Orange Buttercream Cupcake saturated my great room and it was strong! Mega strong! Just like the melts. I am very VERY impressed. So, remember if you try Scent Bursts… Orange Buttercream Cupcake is a strong one.
Negative… the fragrance didn’t last very long but there are quite a few scenarios at play… my melters could be too hot, the room was huge and I didn’t use enough paper.
All in all, I was happy with the performance of this fragrance. I would purchase this again.
Happy scenting!
