How did my Mineral Springs candle smell?
Let’s start off with the scent description:
“Our mineral Springs fragrance is a brilliant aromatic fusion of sparkling mineral water with fresh ozone. Mild notes
of bergamot mingle with ylang ylang, white birch and amber to create a fresh, earthy ozone fragrance.”
Though the above is an excellent description, nothing – and I mean nothing – can describe how wonderful this candle smelled. It was incredibly fresh, like stepping into a mountain, forest, and spa all at once. It had elements of fresh air with floral and woodsy tones floating in it, a water-y, ozone-y quality like a clean spa (those of you who like ozone scents like I do will know what I mean: though water has no scent, somehow elements associated with it really make it a scent immediately identifiable.) It is also somehow woodsy, much like walking through a forest.
I couldn’t believe how much this candle replicated being in every one of these great nature places all at once! AMAZING. You have to smell this to understand. The complexity was unbelievable. Plus, it was most definitely a “WOW” scent: I had it burning in a big room with a high ceiling and the whole room – I mean everywhere – was completely saturated with scent within several hours.
If you are a fan of anything outdoors: water, woods, springs – this candle is for you! In fact, even if you’re the type who just likes to sit indoors in a high-end spa, this will do the trick also. Basically, this candle is for EVERYONE! Unless, of course, you do not like strong scents. But as scents go, with this one you can’t go wrong!!
How did my candle burn?
My candle burned as well as advertised: clean, no soot at all, and for a long time. A full, even wax melt pool formed in about an hour. I got about 125 hours of burn time, even higher than the high end of the advertised range with proper wick-trimming. No soot at all, anywhere. No wax left in the jar at all. Suburb burn!
Closing to my review:
In summary, AMAZING!! I don’t know what else to say. I thought I struck gold when I first got this candle a few years ago; I thought it must have been the best thing Pure Integrity had to offer, since I couldn’t imagine having more than one candle of this sort of high quality. I got this as a gift and was told the customer service is always excellent.
Since then, I’ve tried other Pure Integrity scents and been pleasantly surprised, again and again. More to come with some of the great scents, including new ones I’ve been sent for eventual review. Can’t wait to try these!
