A Closer Look at Midunu Chocolates
Midunu creates luxurious, handcrafted artisanal truffles featuring chocolate from Ghana, African spices, and exotic ingredients. What happens when a premier chef collaborates with a fragrance designer? Exquisite luxury, that’s what happens! Thus the birth of the Adwoa candle, considered the first of what will be a series of luxurious, chocolate-inspired candles, fit for the finest homes across the world.
Our chocolate inspired collection of luxury candles made in collaboration with Ambiance Home by Talata is a testament to what happens when women work together! We brought a chef and a fragrance designer together with our different approaches to mixing flavors and scents. The result? Magic. Mature and elegant scents with a base of cocoa or chocolate. Our first candle Adwoa is inspired by the Adwoa truffle. The candle has base notes of dark chocolate accompanied by warm spices and hints of sandalwood, leather and brandy.

Adwoa
The Adwoa candle screamed luxurious from the moment we saw it. The colored glass vessel, elegant label, and bronze gold lid were enough to set the mood. The candle smelled of smooth, deep and rich cocoa – not overly sweet or artificial.
The scent description reads: Inspired by our Adwoa truffle’s blend of 5 West African Spices. We set out to blend a sophisticated scent with cocoa or chocolate as the foundation. The end result is a candle with base notes of dark chocolate accompanied by warm spices and hints of sandalwood, leather and brandy.
It was after lighting this candle that we became truly mesmerized…there was a warm spiciness to the chocolate notes that was very sophisticated and incredibly bold without being too brash. It was unique and unlike any other chocolate scented candle we’ve burned before. We couldn’t get enough! The candle had a super clean burn and was very long-lasting, adding to our overall delight.

The Adwoa candle from Midunu Candles is top-notch, for sure. An elegant treat with sophisticated notes, sure to please many chocolate and candle fans.
