First impression of Lemongrass:
As soon as I saw Lemongrass on Bath & Body Works website, I purchased one to review. I love this scent. And then I saw it was made with pure essential oils which attracted me to it even more. The moment I smelled the wax… I closed my eyes and smiled. It smelled so fresh and soothing – and it was perfect.
Here is the scent description from the bottom of the candle:
Made with lime & May Chang essential oils
Where is the lemongrass in the description? That confused me so I looked up “May Chang” and a quick internet search told me it has a bright, lemony and energizing aroma to it. Yes! That’s what I was after!
Okay, I’m happy with this scent… now let’s see how this candle performs.
I lit this candle in my master bedroom to start out. Once the wicks were lit, it took the average 20 minutes to reach a full melt pool. The aroma… a very subtle and fresh aromatherapy scent and it did smell like lemongrass – just very light. With that said, I ended up moving the candle to a medium size room and from then on out… the scent throw was much better. Fresh lemongrass filled my guest bedroom and you could tell from just smelling the air that the candle was scented with essential oils. It’s unmistakable and an aroma I found myself gravitating towards every chance I could. Loved it!!
Strength – I would rate this candle a 6 out of 10 in a really large room. 8+ in medium to smaller rooms. It’s definitely a more subtle aroma but still worth it if you love fresh scents made with essential oils.
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned perfect. No wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish.
Closing to my review:
Lemongrass was a refreshing but light scent I would totally purchase again. It’s subtle so if you give it a try, stick to smaller rooms if you really want to enjoy the full bodied aroma of this one. That’s what I’m doing to do.

where can i buy more of this scent I LOVE IT
Hi Gina,
I loved this scent too. Unless Bath & Body Works brings it back this spring, not sure where you can get one. I do know many candle companies release Lemongrass fragrances so you may want to try a few of those. Or at least sniff them prior to purchasing. It’s one of my favorite scents too.
