Lemon White Barn Candle Review

First impression of Lemon from White Barn:
It’s pretty safe to say that when any new lemon fragrance hits Bath & Body Works, I’m going to purchase it. That was the case with this new Lemon candle from White Barn. The vessel was low profile and a sleek black color down to the lid. All you could see on the label were bright yellow lemons with a sprig of some type of flower.
Here is the scent description I pulled from the bottom of the candle:
Made with lemon, lime and lemongrass essential oils.
I knew this candle wasn’t a plain lemon but honestly, I didn’t really smell lime or lemongrass. Not really. To me, the wax smelled like lemon with something green in the mix. I liked it, but it wasn’t what I was expecting.
Time to light my candle!
I had a feeling this candle would be on the lighter side, so I decided to light it in a medium size bedroom to start out, and it was a perfect choice. Once the wicks were lit, it took a good hour or so to reach a full melt pool and the aroma… a very interesting lemon indeed. Smelling the air… it wasn’t just lemon I was smelling but a perfect combination of lemon and lime, so I’m happy to report, the lime component did make its presence known once the candle was burning. Lemongrass? I wish, but I didn’t really smell lemongrass no matter how hard I tried. To my nose, this fragrance was solid lemon and lime and it truly did smell natural. You could tell essential oils were used with this one. Loud and clear.
Strength – I would rate this candle an 8 out of 10 in a medium size room. 10 in in a small room. Not sure I would attempt this one in a larger room but if you did, my guess would be it would rate at a 5 out of 10. That’s a guess.
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned great. No wick issues. It was very slow burning since the wax surface was much larger, but it did eventually reach full melt pools with each lighting, it just took a very long time. This candle did burn clean from start to finish.
Closing to my review:
If you’ve been searching for more readily available candles fragranced with essential oils, you may want to check out these new candles White Barn has been offering. They aren’t bad. I wouldn’t go so far to say they’re 100% all natural since I don’t know for sure, but they sure smell like it. It’s the vibe you get when you smell the air.
