First impression of Key Lime Pie:

Key Lime Pie is my second candle from Mia Bella that smelled absolutely mouthwatering!! I’ve tried my fair share of key lime pie scents but this candle literally blew my socks off when I first popped off the lid. It was THAT fragrant. That gave me very high hopes this candle would be a room filler.

Here is the scent description for Key Lime Pie:

Tangy lime, green lemon zest and vanilla cream.

key lime pie First impression…. Loads of zesty lime with sweet and creamy vanilla. The crystalize wax was so strong, the aroma filled the space around me even with the candle unlit. That’s impressive. Now let’s see how this baby performs!!

I lit this candle in my master bedroom to test out and am sad to report, this candle got off to a rocky start. The wicks fizzled out from the get-go and seemed to struggle from then on out. The flames stayed very low so the wax never reached a full melt pool. It was close but not all the way. The result… a weaker scent throw, a little bit of wax was left along the glass wall and the candle burned very-very slow. To say that I was a little disappointment would be an understatement and am hoping this candle was fluke as far as performance goes. The last candle I tried burned perfect.

The aroma… a wonderful and sweet lime. I loved it.

Strength – I would rate this candle a 7 out of 10 in a larger room. It did give a decent scent throw but I think it would have been much stronger had the wicks performed better.

How did my candle burn?

As stated above, this candle did struggle a bit with both wicks. They never reached good size flames so the candle never reached a full melt pool as a result.

Closing to my review:

I loved the fragrance, enough that I’ll likely purchase it again to see if I get a different result. If I do, I’ll edit this review to reflect that. I’m bummed… if you love sweet lime scents and have purchased from Mia Bella before, this candle smelled amazing!! And speaking of Mia Bella… this is a demonstrator based company so you can search for one locally or order from a ton of companies online. It’s pretty easy. I purchased mine from a demonstrator on Ebay.
