Introduction to my Island Colada candle from Bath & Body Works:
Are you searching for the perfect summer coconut to fragrance your home? I recently purchase a 3 wick candle from Bath & Body Works called Island Colada… a tempting coconut scent you’ll want to poke a straw into and drink by your nearest resort pool. If you haven’t tried candles from Bath & Body Works, you really need to head on over to your nearest store and smell their latest scented candles. Their fragrances rotate with each season but still offer a large selection of staple scents to please just about every nose. I’m finding myself trying new scents as well as stocking up on old favorites each time I shop there. Especially when they offer their 2 for $24 sale.I was in the mood for a good coconut scent and Island Colada was next up on my review list… coconut lovers… it’s a tempting and tropical coconut scent you’ll love.
What did my Island Colada candle from Bath & Body Works smell like?
I didn’t have the luxury of smelling this candle in a store, I purchased it blind online going purely off the scent description… which reads below:
“The true taste of the tropics – a delicious blend of pineapple, creamy coconut and orange, with a touch of ginger.”
By the name, picture on the label and scent description, my guess was Pina Colada which I happen to love in any and all forms. I personally think pineapple and coconut were meant for each other, a perfect union of tart and creamy and one of my all time favorite summer scents to burn.If you’ve read my past reviews, you know I’m literally having a love affair with Bath and Body Works candles. They are beyond out of this world and Island Colada did not disappoint. I loved it the moment I popped the lid off.First impression…. strong! Salivating – mouthwatering strong! The 
fragrance of coconut and tart pineapple surrounded me the moment I took the lid off and the candle wasn’t even lit yet. I could smell every element in the description minus the ginger. I could distinctly smell coconut, pineapple and orange to perfection with not one standing out more than the other. I couldn’t quite figure out what kind of coconut I was smelling though…. I’m not a fan of suntan lotion coconut fragrances, I like the sweet and creamy ones. This scent did not in any way remind me of suntan lotion so that was a plus!! To me, it smelled like a sweet and tangy tropical drink, it was perfect.Lighting this candle produced even better results and an aroma my entire family commented on and loved. Super saturating strong scent throw. The fragrance was so refreshing, I found myself stopping to take deep breaths each time I walked into the room. Very tropical coconut/citrus and a scent I wish they’d carry in their bath and body line as well. I would totally wear this one.
In the end, my 9 year old son nailed this one… he said it smelled like a coconut lemonade drink and he was right… it did. I think that’s why I loved it so much! It was a creamy coconut citrus. Whether that was the pineapple I was smelling, I don’t know… I just know it was heaven.. Highly recommend Island Colada. This scent will definitely be a repurchase for me.
How did my Island Colada candle burn?
Perfect! No wick issues, clean burn… no wasted wax. Loved!
Closing to my candle review:
What a delightful candle this was! Bath & Body Works candles have exceeded my expectations across the board. I am in love with these candles! Island Colada almost slipped past me and I’m glad it didn’t. If you love coconut scents and are after something refreshing… definitely give this one a try. You’ll want to drink it.
Be sure to watch for a 2 for $24 sale Bath & Body Works runs every so often. That’s the best time to buy these candles. You can’t beat $11 bucks and I promise you, they are well worth it.

Another 10 star for me too. This candle smells amazing. Tart and sweet. I purchase this almost every summer depending on what’s available. If my store has new ones, I get those first but Island Colada is definitely a favorite one of mine.
