Isabella Luxury Tocca Candle Review

First impression of Isabella from Tocca:
I’m still fairly new to the world of Tocca fragrances but so far, I’m pretty happy with the scent choices I’ve purchased. Stella was the first fragrance I tried (review here) and I really liked it. Next up… Isaballa – another name I love.
Here is the scent description I pulled from Tocca’s website:
As the days grow longer, the fresh, sweet watermelon of Isabella conjures memories of that first slice of summertime fruit on the rind. The perfect summer companion.
Mmm!! Watermelon!! No wonder I was so drawn to this candle. It smelled so sweet and refreshing.
Time to find out how it performs.
Because of the small size, (close to the size of a votive) I lit this candle in a small powder room where it performed perfectly. Once lit, it didn’t take long to start noticing the aroma and once I did… I smelled a sweet and sugary watermelon. It reminded me of tangy watermelon candy. Very nice and tangy.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 7 in a small room. I wouldn’t even attempt burning it in anything other than a small room.
How did my candle burn?
My candle burned great. I did have to really watch it and keep the wick trimmed or the flame got out of control. A nice reminder to always monitor your candles burning. Always.
Closing to my review:
Isabella was a summery watermelon fragrance and I liked it but not sure enough to purchase it again. Keeping it real… I could easily purchase a similar scent from another brand (in a much larger candle) for half the price. For me, when paying for a luxury candle, I have pretty high
expectations and although the scent was sugar, sweet and delicious… it wasn’t unique which is what I expect from a luxury brand.
I still plan on trying many more Tocca fragrances – this brand is gorgeous and I can’t wait to try more candles in the future.
