First impression of Golden Harvest Sunset:

Golden Harvest Sunset is one of the newer scents to hit Walmart shelves. It sounds “fall” but it smelled pretty universal. As soon as I popped off the lid to smell it, I threw one in my cart to review. This fragrance smelled really good – very sweet and smooth.

Here is the scent description for Golden Harvest Sunset:

This is bright and crisp! This spicy, fruity scent is the perfect blend featuring notes of golden bergamot, crushed ginger, juicy orange, warm cardamom, white violet and nutmeg. A mix of sandalwood, vanilla bean and amber crystals adds a touch of comfort completing this enchanting fragrance experience. It’s a perfect addition to your home this season.

That’s quite the scent description and if I can pick up on even half of what’s in it, I’ll be happy. Based off cold sniff, I already am. My nose detected
fruity notes the most… sweet orange, vanilla and amber are the notes I picked up on the most. The rest… who knows?

Time to find out how this candle performs!

I lit this candle in a small bathroom and that’s where it stayed from start to finish. This candle I have to say was perfect in a small room, giving a nice and strong scent throw. The aroma…. a soft and lovely citrus orange. I can’t even begin to describe all the elements I detected along with orange. Probably a mix of everything in the scent description above but I honestly couldn’t pinpoint anything specific. The overall scent was just soothing and lovely. I enjoyed it immensely and plan on purchasing another candle next time I’m at Walmart.

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 7 in a very small room. 5 or less in a medium room. This candle is definitely performs best in a small room for maximum scent throw.

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned perfect. Zero issues. Clean burning from start to finish.

Closing to my review:

I thoroughly enjoyed Golden Harvest Sunset and plan on purchasing another candle next time I’m at Walmart. I know the scent name indicates “Fall” but I’m not sure I would categorize this candle a fall fragrance. It wasn’t spicy or cozy, it was just a really nice soothing citrus scent with zero zest if that makes any sense.

Golden Harvest Sunset is a “limited addition” candle but they’re still available. Go check this fragrance out and see for yourself next time you’re at Walmart. You may walk away with one. If you do, let us know what you thought of it.

Happy candle hunting!
