Introduction to my review of Gold Canyon Candles Lemon Dream Pie:
I’ve been a fan of Gold Canyon for many years now and absolutely love this brand. Maybe it’s because they started me on this scented candle obsession years ago or maybe because to this day, I still think Gold Canyon makes some of the best paraffin candles around! And I’ve tried many-many candles to compare…Gold Canyon Candles are (in my experience), very dependable, consistent and man are they strong! Aside from a few duds, I don’t think I’ve ever burned a GC Candle and not had the fragrance fill multiple rooms, which I think is pretty phenomenal for a mass produced candle. I’m not really crazy about how
they’ve restructured their company over the past couple of years or their price increases, but I still think the positives far outweigh the negatives. This company delivers some highly scented candles and that’s the selling point for me.Gold Canyon is party based, which means if you’ve never ordered before, you would need to find a local demonstrator in your area to order their candles… which is pretty easy to do. Gold Canyon demonstrators are all over the place now and if you don’t already have one, go to their official website to find a demonstrator in your area. Rest assured, you don’t have to host a party if you don’t want to… you can order whatever you want or you can order online through tons of GC websites. Ordering online is probably the easiest route these days.What did I decide to review this time?… what else…. LEMON!! Oh yeah!! Lemon Dream Pie BABY!!! I should probably feel guilty for subjecting you to so many lemon reviews but, I don’t. 😉 I can’t seem to help myself. I gravitate toward that scent… it calls to me and lures me in just like I know certain scents have that affect on you. We scent freaks all have our vices… mine happens to be lemon (lemon-lemon-lemon!!). And as a lemon lover, who can resist a scent name like “Lemon Dream Pie”? HELLO!!! I couldn’t!
What does my Gold Canyon Lemon Dream Pie Candle Look Like?This candle is from Gold Canyon’s summertime picnic collection and is really cute. It reminds me of a stubby mason jar. It’s 10.5oz and has a wide mouth so it gives a full melt pool. My candle was double wicked and the wax color yellow.
This is a fantastic lemon scent!! Gold Canyon comes out every once in awhile with a lemon fragrance that I just love called Lemon Chiffon… but, it’s seasonal and I can’t always get it. That irritates me since I want a scent when I want it but, I can understand their logic (sort of)… as in, they can’t carry every scent they’ve ever created or their catalog would be 5 inches thick! So, they now offer fragrances seasonally, which I’m sure Lemon Dream Pie will get relegated to. My only option… stock up like mad!
With that gripe out of the way, I wouldn’t be surprised if Lemon Dream Pie wasn’t Lemon Chiffon renamed, because it smells just like it. This was a wonderful sweet lemon scent that had me sniffin the air every time I walked into my bedroom. YUM!!!! I don’t have a Lemon Chiffon candle to compare but it sure reminds me of it. It’s the perfect lemon to me, a true lemon with just the right touch of cream to give it that sweetness I crave. Here’s the scent description from the Gold Canyon catalog:“After a long day in the hot summer sun, a spot in the shade is the best place to enjoy this 
refreshing dessert. Just like you remember, cool and creamy whipped topping atop a tart lemon filling and buttery crust. This lemon dessert fragrance is a wonderful combination of fresh lemons, sweet vanilla sugar and rich buttery crust”
Great scent description and as a lemon lover, how can you read that and not want to purchase this candle? I love-LOVE sweet lemon scents and when I read words like “whipped” and “buttery crust”, it had me drooling and craving this candle something fierce. I could smell all the above elements in this candle… this lemon scent was creamy and buttery giving it the perfect touch of sweetness. No harsh or tart lemon notes in this scent… just pure creamy lemon. Aaaaaahh… delicious!!!!!
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 9. I had this candle burning in my bedroom and the scent saturated my bedroom, large master bath and traveled into my outer hallway as well. Very nice strength… loved it and highly recommend this candle to lemon lovers.
How did Lemon Dream Pie from Gold Canyon Candles burn?
My candle burned evenly & completely to the bottom with no waste.
Overall opinion of my Lemon Dream Pie Candle and Gold Canyon:
Love Gold Canyon and was very pleased with this fragrance. I’m pretty picky when it comes to my lemon scents and Lemon Dream Pie did not disappoint me. My only complaint is that this scent is only available in one size, 10.5oz. I would definitely buy larger if it’s ever offered.
