    It's cold and wet here today. The kids are praying that temps will get to the point where we might just get snow here. Wishfull thinking,although we would love to see snow.It's a suprise and treat if and when we get it.

    Thank you everybody for all your kind words. They are much appreciated.

     

    My GHBT tarts have been on 12+ hours and I cannot believe that they are still as strong when I first started melting them. All tarts do not age the same. These are at least 2-3 years old and still smell great. My EW tarts have definitely lost most of their scents. Unfortunately I still have a sizable amount left from a 100+ order I placed in a BOGO sale.

    I sure miss Grandma,she never did reopen did she? I know someone one ebay was making them but that was short lived. It's so true that not all tarts age the same. My can do order as well as country home both lost scent and scents mingled.

    This morning I'm melting Nene's - Caramel Swirl Spoonbread and Cheryl's - Apple Rhubarb.

    Cheryls is the website with all the stuff everywhere,sort of overwhelming right? If so do her tarts need to cure?

    Ilove, I only purchased 6 just to try them out...it seems I can't order B&B without throwing a couple melts in the basket! ;) The B&B is great...the melts not so much. I melted 1 in the bedroom and it did great...I melted 2 in melters downstairs...nothing much. [smilie=th_sign0164]

    Fried Cinnamon Dumplings from Spotted Hog...A BIG FAV!!! [smilie=th_sign0162]

    See Maggie,I've heard things about their bath and body so I thought the tarts must be good.wrong.... I just can't believe the vendor,told me one thing,so I did that and then she said otherwise..Oh well,Im sure the garbage dump liked them. I thought maybe it was my luck that I just couldn't get throws from them. Then I thought of selling them to recoupe the money but then I thought nah [smilie=th_baaaaa] I couldn't do that. Now I know why others dont talk about them on here. Based on my customer service,I wouldn't give them a second chance.

    Hi Maggie, I meant B&I.

     

    When I first started buying tarts I would always place a really small order. But on the few vendors that came so I highly recommended here I would splurge and take everyone's word for it and place a rather large order.

    Otherwise I would hit my self for placing a tiny order during a sale and for falling in love with it.

     

    With B&I they were having a too good to pass up sale and thought what the heck. I am sure to love them like LSC,CD,CCCC etc.

     

     

    This morning were melting pumpkin spice latte from FM,blueberry cotton candy from CD,cinnamon brulee from LB.

     

    Candles going are:

    GCC apple spice

    sugar cookie

    YC be thankfull

    christmas cupcake

    pumpkin buttercream

    2 yc votives in jack frost

     

     

     

    So far on lock down I am doing really good. I am emptying plastic storage bins and regrouping things for a much smaller stash. Votive candles are almost all gone [smilie=th_sad2hz1].

     

    I am almost all out of Luna Bleu, and Bella's tarts(Wouldn't order from again.

    My poor hubby I am sending to YC tonight to exchange 4 candles for me.He said I should go do it. I don't want the temptation of being in the store period. 2 of the candles have wick issues,one smells like a hamster cage on fire(frosted cedar) and the other vanilla clouds is not what I thought it would be. What should I get? I love bakery,some fresh scents.

    Beignets from Bathed & Infused...very light even with 2 melts going.

    Caramel Apple from Sweetlove Candles...a freebie and smells nice.

    What are your overall thoughts on this vendor? I purchased quite a rather large order from her earlier this year. The melts said to wait for melting for them to cure. So I did that and then tried one out. Weak as can be. So I said something to the owner and she said to let them sit even longer.(basically store them away for awhile and then try them out) [smilie=th_anyminute] .She also mentioned getting a hotter throw for them since they are soy.

     

    Fast forward to just recently,prior to my throwing them in the garbage can. I took out maple pancakes and out of its wrapper,all the tarts must have mingled. Tried the tart and it still smelled weak and like everything in the box. [smilie=th_puke] So I emailed her again and she said they should air out and they will be good to go. Then she also mentioned not to do a hotter throw by stacking a tea light. [smilie=th_gif] I told the vendor that is what I did and nothing changed.Never heard back from her. Would I order again? Most likely not.

    Last day school today before thanksgiving break. My kids are in a new school this year. Last year Jr Highers would'nt be the ones caught having a party,while the lower grades did.

     

    At this new school I feel really bad for my 5th grader as she was looking forward to have a thanksgiving feast with her new friends. I suspect because she's in a combo class with 6th graders,that is why they are not having a party. Perhaps the other 6th grade class is not having one. But whats interesting is that the full 5th grade class is having one. So here my daughter in Jr High is having a feast, and my other daughter is not . [smilie=th_cray]

    I'm thinking that we need to all start posting on her page on facebook about this. Maybe this will prompt her to see all of our concerns and that things are not all peachy keen fine for all customers. What do you think?

     

     

    I think personally she offers way to much that is ready to ship.And then it takes alot longer to come back around in the circle of remaking. Because holiday scents/shapes come about. And I think the samplers and such get lost in the shuffle.

     

    I really wanted fall samplers,a cookie one and a few others from when she had her new website going. I never did get them,and I will not stalk a vendor with bated breath. Unless I have $$$ and its a sale.

     

    There are too many other vendors,where I can order what I want when I want. I dont' have to beat any of you at it to get it either... Which is sort of sad. As Carol was a vendor that I tried once to see what all the commotion was about.

     

    I wasn't too impressed. Ordered a second time and loved that stuff.So the third time I ordered from her,I didn't get what I really was hoping to. And so now,I wonder if I would order again from her or not.

     

     

    Tonights melts are:

    toasted kettle cake by TCC(burned very strong for one tea light and then fizzed. But this scent was great!)

     

    praline pumpkin pie by s&S super yummy!

     

    5000 calories,very good. Also by TCC. I noticed that her scents are exceptionally strong for one tea light and travels very well and then poof.

     

     

    Burning in the candle dept we have:

    yc be thankfull

    yc pumpkin buttercream

    cc indian summer

     

    gcc vanilla cupcake-its on its last leg. I removed one of the wicks so it does'nt burn as hot on the bottom of the jar. Tonight it will be one to toss in the trash...yipeee!
