That's so sad! I read such great reviews from Candlefind, and was so disappointed with the throw. =( I'm not sure if the editor's review was from awhile ago with the old wax, like you said.
I still have a few here of hers(Judy,before she sold her shop). You can definately tell a difference in the wax. The newer wax that does'nt throw so well looks more of a frosted look. Perhaps soy?

My order is from February of 2011. In addition to the containers disintegrating, the melts themselves are so oily, I have to wash my hands after putting one of the tarts in the melter. Even if she changed the packaging, wouldn't the fragrance oils still get all over the place? Anyway, I love how strong LSC's throws are, but they come at a price IMO.

This is such a yummy scent! Today I'm melting Honey Pear Cider from Scentsy, Birthday Cake from Tara's Candle Cottage, and Butterscotch Peaches & Cream from Cleanse Your Soul. The first two I melted yesterday too and loved, the Cleanse Your Soul scent is so yummy, but not very strong for large rooms.
The very first time I ordered from CYS was with Judy a few years back. Those were strong!! Then she did something with the wax and then they were not nearly as strong. And well,since she sold her shop,I haven't purchased from them again.

"Messy to handle" sure describes my LSC tarts.
I have SH Bewitched Broomsticks going in the bedroom. It's always nice to have a few cinnamon scents that are less foody than most. I like this one just as much. In the living room it's LOL Spazztastic Melon Balls, which DH said he liked. Today is supposed to be a warmer day, so I'm returning to some fruity stuff for a while. Gotta love mixing it up!
Cmarie-when did you last purchase from LSC? Mine did that and she said that she was going to change the pkging awhile back. But it just ruined it for me. Haven't purchased again.

Our Wallyworld has just the new spring scents,of which nothing really appeals to me.. Plus with ordering from 3 new to me vendors,I really don't need more. I just need to clear my stash out and then order binge.

Thank you Trep,I might just pick it up next time I'm there.I was happy to see a new scent come out. I've loved their other scents such as the pumpkin one and apple spice.iloveyummysmells---I tried the three wick Key Lime Pie candle from Mainstays last night and it is wonderful. Filled my entire house with a really true key lime pie scent. I loved it! For only $3.25 you can't beat it!

Melting Harvest Spice from Thompson's...I am truly hooked on this scent. This new batch I just got seems even stronger than the first or it could just be my imagination I suppose.

The day I ordered mine,they also shipped out 2 hours after ordering. Too bad they on the east coast,cause I've got 7 days in transit for them... I got alot of bakery ones,pumpkin pie included. Do you use their melters?or tealight?

Today were using up our stash again. Tax refund hit yesterday morning and I placed two orders already. At first I hated the thought and resented the fact that I had to use my stash up and not buy any wax.I always wondered when I first started here and saw others talking about using up their stashes. I always thought,how does one become like that? that they have just too many tarts lying around? Now I know,and well,I don't want to look like a wax hoarder and end up on some show.So far we've emptied about 3 1/2 drawers on a rolling cart that were packed full.
Well,thats me and I've been plowing thru them,and what a freeling feeling that is.

Today is cleaning and laundry day over here...oh the thrill!!!
NOT!ilove, you are welcome. The pumpkin pie smells unique to me...don't think I've ever had this version from anyone else before. To my nose, it is spicy with sort of a sweet brown sugar note to it. Here are some of the others I've tried...
- Apples & Cinnamon - strong apple, light cinnamon, very good
- Coffee Cake - cinnamony, smells exactly like Olio's Apples n' Spice
- Snickerdoodle - sweet cookies, no spice, okay scent
- Spice Cake - another favorite, very spicy
- Country Blessings - same scent as Blue Sugar, very good
- Sunshine & Laughter - oh my, uber strong and fresh smelling
hope this helps...I'm expecting my third order today. I got more Harvest Spice & Pumpkin Pie and a few other new ones to try...Cinnamon, Gingerbread and Plum Nutmeg. I can update on cold sniff for these later on.

I am suprised that snickerdoodle does'nt have spice in it. And looking at country blessing I only see patchouli and coriander.I like the smell of blue sugar but blue's description sounds different than country blessings.. Descisions descisions. lol

I've ordered from Thompson's 3 times and have never received a coupon or sale email, so I guess they don't really offer any discounts too often. They also don't include any freebies with orders. However, their TAT is lightning speed...I placed an order just last Thursday and it was already shipped on Friday. It should be delivered tomorrow. I think their shipping is reasonable. My order was for 5 bags of crumbles and a candle and I think it was $7-something for shipping. I am hooked on their Harvest Spice and Pumpkin Pie.
Oh, almost forgot to say that I am melting Cider Donut from YOCC...absolutely delicious.
