What did my candle smell like? 

I reviewed an Evergreen candle from White Barn a couple of years ago but this one appears to be different from reading the scent description so… I decided to go ahead and review it just in case it was different. Here it is from the bottom of the candle:

“A fragrance that evokes the magic of tracking through fresh snow to find the perfect holiday tree – fresh fir balsam infused with sparkling mint.”

Sounds wonderful. First sniff… I detected fir balsam… nothing else. I couldn’t make out any mint but hoping that comes out once this candle is burning. Want to point out, I had my husband smell this candle before lighting it and his eyes lit up…. he liked it. A lot!

I lit this candle in my master bedroom so my hubby could fully enjoy the aroma while I reviewed it and I’m so glad I did… he really enjoyed it and he let me know daily how much. The fragrance truly did smell like a freshly cut Christmas tree. Within minutes of lighting it, the fragrance filled my entire bedroom… within a half hour, it moved into my open adjoining bathroom. It’s amazing how realistic these companies can make these fragrances but I still wasn’t detecting mint as stated in the description. Not even a lick of it which I was a little disappointed at but overall, it was still a very nice fragrance.

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 7. It wasn’t super strong but gave a nice and steady medium throw. I was okay with that since anything stronger would have probably given me a headache.

How did my candle burn?

My candle burned perfect. No wick issues. Clean burning from beginning to end with no soot. A+

Closing to my review: 

This was a great fragrance and one I would recommend to those who love the aroma of a freshly cut Christmas tree. My husband loved it more than I did and is in heaven with me burning all these holiday scents this month…. he thinks it’s great I’m late getting them reviewed. What can I say? I aim to please…..
