What did my candle smell like?
Cranberry Orange from Village was a perfect blend of sweet orange and tart cranberry. The moment I smelled the wax, I purchased two right on the spot. It’s just a shame this scent is being discontinued but on a happy note… you can still purchase it locally from stores that carry Village Candles. That’s where I’ve been purchasing mine.
I couldn’t find a scent description for this candle but one really wasn’t needed. Just imagine orange cranberry punch… that’s exactly what this candle smelled like. I couldn’t wait to find out what the aroma would smell like once the candle was lit. It smelled so fresh and summery.
I started this candle in a large bedroom and ended up moving it into a smaller room where it performed much better. The aroma remained the same… a sweet and tart orange cranberry. Unfortunately, the strength wasn’t strong enough to burn in a large room as I hoped it would.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 6 in a small room and I’m talking a bathroom. Anything larger and the fragrance was totally lost. I was disappointed for sure but I still did enjoy the aroma while it was burning. Just not in the room I had originally chose.
How did my candle burn?
This specific candle has some up and down moments. Some days the flames were very low and almost seemed like they would fizzle out. Other times it burned fine. Overall, it still burned okay, just very slow.
Closing to my review:
I enjoyed this fragrance, I just wish the aroma would have been stronger. I do have one more candle to burn in this scent so maybe that one will give a better scent throw… the low sitting flames could have played a factor in it… who knows? If it does, will add that to this review down the road.
