First Impression:
I love it that I can purchase Village candles at my local grocery store. It’s not only fun but also a treat to be able to smell all the scents before purchasing. That’s rare these days in the world of online shopping. Christmas Morning happened to be available in their Simmer Melts so I purchased one to review just in time for the holidays.
Here is the scent description pulled from Village Candles website:
“Our distinctive blend of fresh from the woods, pine needles, fir, balsam, and cedar leaf captures the aroma surrounding shared memories of Christmas morning.”
Smelling the wax for the first time… the aroma smelled like pine and I almost want to say cologne of some sort which I’m guessing was the cedar leaf. It wasn’t a classic Christmas tree scent but with an added bit of bling. I wasn’t quite sure if I was going to like it since it did smell a little too perfumy to me but when has that ever stopped me? I was determined to see this one through. 🙂
Melting:
I had a feeling this fragrance would be a room filler and I was right. Within minutes of placing the wax in my melter, the fragrance permeated the entire lower level of my home and even traveled upstairs. WOW was it strong. The scent…. it smelled exactly as it did when I first popped off the lid – a very festive pine fragrance mixed with a masculine vibe. After it was melting awhile… the cologne part I thought I was detecting at first went away and altogether smoothed out to a really wonderful woodsy/christmas scent. I really enjoyed it. And oh my goodness did this scent last and last. 2 cubes last a good 2 days or solid melting. Very impressive.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, this fragrance is an easy 10. Super strong!!
Highly recommend this fragrance for the holidays.

Great review Christina! I had bought the medium candle in this scent and loved it! It was a strong Christmas tree pine scent and even stayed strong when it wasn’t lit. I enjoyed burning all my Christmas scents including this one.
