Christmas may be over, but we’re still enjoying many of the sights, sounds, and smells of the frosty winter season. That’s why I didn’t hesitate to break out this adorable Candy Cane wax melt from one of our favorites, August Moon Candles. It is shaped like a little snowman and it fit in well with the chill in the air!

These wax melts typically come in a package set of eight, but mine was individually wrapped as it was part of our Candlefind subscription box for the month of December. The level of detail in this not-so-little snowman is simply amazing! You can tell Nyah went through a lot of care when creating these.
My adorable snowman was white and complete with a top hat. He had a carrot colored nose, dotted smile, and black, beaded eyes. The pictures simply don’t do him justice! The wax melt was huge, too. I could not bear to cut him in half, but easily could have done so to get more mileage out of my new-found friend.

The cold sniff on this baby was minty sweet and cool…it really did smell like a delicious candy cane!

Once I started melting this one, I could appreciate more of the sweet mint notes. This was more like the soft, melt-in-your-mouth peppermint candies that you often see at Christmastime. The scent was spot-on and it was fabulous!

Scent Strength & Scent Throw
I ended up melting an entire snowman in my 20W hotplate melter. It didn’t take long for the scent of mint to fill the air. The scent strength was more subtle – I would place it around a 3.5/5 – with the throw traveling all around the open floor plan of the home I was in. This was one of those types of scents that had a fantastic throw without bowling you over by being too, too strong. I loved it!

Melt Performance
The entire melt melted without any difficulty in the hotplate melter. If I wanted to use this in one of my tealight burners, I would have had to cut it in half (or smaller). I kept the warmer on all evening and kept smelling the mouthwatering scent. I turned the melter back on the following day and ended up with even more mileage – so several hours of enjoyment from this one snowman.

My Candy Cane wax melt from August Moon Candles was a big hit in this household. The wax melts (and candles) from this company are like works of art, and this snowman was no exception. The scent was right on and perfect for our current weather, even with Christmas a not-so-distant memory. We certainly can’t get enough from this company, and we can’t wait to see what else they have in store!
