Scent: Caramel Praline
Type: 2oz Clamshell Melts
First impression of Caramel Praline:
I first want to point out I purchased these melts through ScentSationals website prior to them closing and announcing they were exclusively selling all their scents at Walmart. What fragrances are sold at Walmart depends on the store so you may find this fragrance at your local store or you might not. Each store varies with what scents they carry.
First impression of Caramel Praline? Oh my – – DROOL!! The picture on the label did me in. It showed what I’m guessing were scoops of vanilla ice cream with drizzled caramel, pecans, and those stick cookie things (I have no idea what they’re called) from Pepperidge Farms. They come in a can and are these flaky straw cookies filled with cream. YUM!!!! So if this scent smelled anything like the picture depicts, I’ll be in serious heaven!!
Smelling the wax for the first time… I smelled a spicy cake aroma. It didn’t seem very bakery and I don’t think it smelled anything like the picture in the label. I was bummed about that but not giving up hope. You really don’t know until you start melting the wax.
Time to find out!
I used the entire clamshell pack (3 cubes each) in 2 electric melters in my great room. Once melting, it took a good 10 minutes to really start noticing the fragrance and once I did…. heaven!! My entire great room smelled like a vanilla caramel custard so I’ve changed my mind – the scent did match the picture to a degree. Just no Pepperidge Farm straw cookies. 🙂 What I could smell was rich and warm vanilla and caramel with lots of pralines which really made this scent in my opinion. It was very sweet and authentic.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this scent an 8 in a large room. 10 and above in medium or smaller rooms. Very nice scent throw.
Bakery lovers… definitely pick up Caramel Praline should you see this scent at your local Walmart. It’s beyond yummy!
