Introduction to my Coconut Leaves Scented Candle from Bath & Body Works:

With summer coming to a close and fast, I’ve been scrambling like a madwoman to get all the Bath & Body Works summer candles reviewed and up on Candlefind. Especially before they’re gone from their stores and site. Not an easy task considering I’m also trying to savor every candle I’m burning… I am in LOVE with all their summer candles! So fresh, yummy and vibrant! I’ve also been hitting all their incredible candle sales and scored big with their semi-annual sale this past month. I bet you all did too. 🙂 Their sales are really hard to resist.

So, on to my latest Bath & Body Works summer scent I’m in love with… Coconut Leaves… a sweet and sensuous coconut perfect (in my opinion) for any time of the year.

What does my Coconut Leaves candle from Bath & Body Works look like?

This candle is their large 3 wick candle. The wax was a creamy white. The label has an aqua blue wood background with palm trees to one side. Coconut Leaves printed in the center. Very simply stated.

What did my Coconut Leaves candle from Bath & Body Works smell like?

 Let’s start off with the scent description:

“Be transported to the tropics with this fusion of juicy tangerine, papaya and jasmine that gives way to soothing coconut and vanilla notes.”

Initial sniff, loved it! I smelled everything in the description minus the jasmine. This was no suntan lotion scent which is why I liked it so much. I am not a fan of my house smelling like Coppertone. No thank you (sorry suntan lotion fans!) Me? I like the more exotic and fruity coconuts best. Sweet, tangy, creamy and smooth… as in… all the tropical variations. Mmmmmm!!

When I smelled Coconut Leaves for the first time, it made me close my eyes and smile – savoring the aroma. You would think with the name “Coconut Leaves,” the scent would be all coconut but it wasn’t. Coconut Leaves was a perfect and sweet tangerine scent with a touch of coconut and papaya blended with creamy vanilla. I smelled all of it, the coconut, tangerine, papaya and vanilla. All blended perfectly. I couldn’t decide which element I liked best but if I had to choose, I would say the tangerine. It was strong, vibrant and stood out the most to me and blended with coconut, Mmmm, perfection! It was like eating an orange creamsicle drenched in sweet coconut milk. Seriously! Yummy!!

Also want to add, this was not just a “me” approved scent either… my whole family loved this one. Both my boys kept smelling the candle before I lit it “oohing and aahing” letting me know how much they liked it. My hubby commented after a day or so of burning that he liked it too. So with all three fellas in my life giving me the thumbs up, it’s safe to say this was a man pleaser.

 Burn performance – this candle was as awesome burning as smelling it cold! Once lit, I started to notice the scent immediately…. and once it was going for a half hour or so… my entire bedroom was filled with its aroma. Tangerine, coconut and vanilla. A tropical oasis. To say I loved it would be an understatement. Strength? Pretty strong and consistent. This scent is a room filler. Coconut Leaves is a re-buy – over and over! Highly recommend if you love fruity tropical scents.

How did my Coconut Leaves candle from Bath & Body Works burn?

Perfect! No issues at all. Clean burn, no wasted wax. Hardly any wick maintenance at all.

Closing to my review:

Loved this candle! The moment I smelled it, I went straight back and bought a few more to stock up and so glad I did… looks like they pulled it from their site to start promoting all their fall fragrances. So if you were thinking about trying it, I bet Bath & Body Works stores still carry it. Or it may be gone till next year… hard to say. I just hope they bring it back… I loved it!!

Coconut Leaves was a winner to me, especially if you enjoy unique tropical/citrusy scents.
