Introduction to My Review of a Peppercorn Scented Candle from Aromatique…
Hi Candlefind readers!! I’ll be doing a series of Aromatique reviews this fall and winter as I received a bunch of their fall and winter candles to review for Candlefind. I was so excited… Aromatique candles are so beautiful and fragrant.
I love Aromatique. I consider this a luxury brand but definitely an excellent one and worthy of purchase from any candle lover. I haven’t had a huge experience burning this line of candles although I did burn their entire spa collection which I very much enjoyed. You can read up on that further by going to my review page and finding Aromatique.
How Did I Like My Peppercorn Candle from Aromatique?
Since we’re in the beginning of fall, I thought Peppercorn would be a great one to try first. I’ve known about and smelled this fragrance for years because it’s my Mom’s absolute favorite Potpourri and the only one she’ll ever buy, literally. Since most Aromatique products that you purchase in department stores are seasonal, she usually stocks up on it around fall to tide her over for an entire year till she can buy it again. If you like potpourri, this is an excellent brand and the fragrance lasts for a long time.
The only description I could find in an Aromatique brochure says:
“Warm your home with this festive spicy fragrance”
I wish the ingredients would have been described a little more because I can’t make out a thing. It smells outdoorsy to me, spicy yes but the spice is not overpowering at all. Honestly, I think they should change the name to, The Smell of Fall Candle because it really is a perfect fall fragrance. I feel like such a dunce for not being able to describe this scent for you but seriously, it’s not an easy one. I sniffed this thing till I practically burned my nose trying to break it down and I couldn’t. It just plain and simply smells like fall, it smells of crisp windy days with orange leaves blowing through the air. It smells like you’re outside on a lovely fall day.
My Peppercorn candle was on the smaller side, 5.3oz. I burned this candle in my large bathroom and the scent was light although did fragrance the entire room and I could smell it as soon as I walked in the room. If you like your candles strong, my suggestion would be to go with a larger size candle which I know all their fragrances come in a variety of sizes and styles.
How did my candle burn?
Perfect burn, no issues whatsoever. Clean burn, no wasted wax.
Closing to my review:
My experience with Aromatique fragrances has been pretty consistent. The majority are unique and can’t be picked apart. That’s really not a bad thing unless you’re me trying to describe the fragrance for you. It’s not a bakery scent and it’s not a harvest type scent either because I can’t smell any specific spice or cinnamon. It smells like the real thing – fall. Go try one for yourself and you’ll see what I mean.
Happy candle burning!

This Aromantic scent has been my favorite through the years, and reasonably priced. I read on Aromantic that peppercorn candle and spray are discontinued. Anywhere else to get this scent?
I believe it is one of the best , if not the best, fall candle to burn for fragrance. I just can’t find it anywhere to purchase. Did they stop making that particular candle?
Another fall favorite of mine. It’s amazing!
