Scent Strength: Light to medium
First Impression of Coconut Wood:
Coconut Wood was a scent I couldn’t wait to review. I love coconut (in all forms) and I love the fact that it’s also a great scent for blending. To me, coconut is universal (like vanilla) and blends well with just about everything, including floral scents.
Coconut Wood is a blend of fresh coconut, neroli blossoms, tonka bean, sandalwood, jasmine and vanilla orchid. Interesting right? I thought so.
Here is the official scent description for this candle:
The rich goodness of fresh coconut blended with a trio of earthy tropical wood notes and just a hint of orchid flower.
Mmmmm!! Smelling the wax cold, I smelled a creamy coconut and sweet floral. So incredibly beautiful and unique. I loved it and hadn’t even lit the wicks yet.
Time to light my candle!!
I wanted to enjoy every second of this candle so I decided to burn it in my small powder room for maximum enjoyment. It’s also a high traffic room so I could fully enjoy it from start to finish. Once the wicks were lit, it took a good 30 minutes to reach a full melt pool and from then on out… the same aroma I was so drawn to filled my bathroom and it really was gorgeous. The aroma… a sweet and tropical (coconut) with the perfect touch of soft floral. This is a scent I could smell for weeks and a fragrance I could easily imagine wearing as bath and body. The floral component made it seem delicate and powdery but with the coconut and vanilla, it brought a freshness and soothing element to it as well. In my opinion, it had it all. I loved it!!
Strength – this candle was lightly scented. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 6 in a small room so this is definitely a candle you’ll want to burn in a smaller room if you want to really enjoy the fragrance. If you prefer a larger room, I would burn 2 candles at once.
How Did My Candle Burn?
This candle burned perfect. Zero wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish. I did have to trim both wicks before each lighting but that’s pretty normal.
Closing to My Coconut Wood Candle Review:
I adored Coconut Woods and plan on purchasing this scent again before summer starts. I loved it. To my nose, it had it all… sweet and smooth tropical coconut and floral on a bed of creamy vanilla. It was really pretty, just very lightly scented.
Happy candle hunting!
