What did my Vanilla Buttercream Cupcake candle smell like?

I was pretty happy when I hit the candle aisle at Walmart and spied a ton of new fragrances from Better Homes and Gardens. Don’t you love going in for something essential and walking out with a cart-full of candles instead? That’s ME!!! Every time…..

Vanilla Buttercream Cupcake was a candle I couldn’t resist purchasing. It’s only available in a candle, not melts which I was sad about but I still bought it. I couldn’t find a scent description for this fragrance but one really isn’t needed. The wax smelled like sweet vanilla cake. Nothing synthetic or fake about it… just sweet and warm white cake. YUMMY!!!!

Time to find out how this candle performs!

I lit this candle in a small bathroom to start out and ended up keeping it there from start to finish. One lit, it took a good several hours to reach and full melt pool and when I came back to check on it… I smelled the most amazing warm and delicious cake aroma. It was literally drool worthy! The aroma smelled like a freshly baked white cake with sweet and sugary buttercream frosting. A scent you want to take a bite out of or drink with a tall glass of milk. My favorite kind of bakery!!

Strength – I was really surprised by the strength of this candle. On a scale of 1 to 10, in a small room, I’d rate this candle a 7. Medium room, 5 and larger… not sure but probably not very strong. This candle is definitely ideal in a smaller room if you want maximum scent throw.

How did my candle burn?

My candle burned pretty good. It did take hours with each lighting to reach a full melt pool but that’s pretty normal with this brand. Clean burning and no wasted wax. I did have trim the wick before each lighting which is standard.

Closing to my review:

Bakery lovers… this is a definite MUST try!! Especially if you love warm and scrumptious cake scents. I’m definitely going back for more and hope this is a fragrance that stays around for a while. I loved it!!
