Summertime Soda Pop Bath & Body Works Candle Review

First impression of Summertime Soda Pop:

Summertime Soda Pop is from Bath & Body Works 2018 summer candle release and oh my goodness is this one a keeper. Very cute candle too! The wax was a bright orange with a colorful and summery label that perfectly matched the scent. The fragrance? LOVED!! At first, the orange wax threw me… I was expecting to smell an orange soda pop type aroma but that’s not what this candle smelled like. It actually smelled like Sprite or 7-UP.

Here is the scent description from the bottom of the candle:

Crisp lime, zesty lemon, splash of soda.

I was right. Sprite all the way!! I could even smell the bubbly and effervescent component. That always amazes me how effervescence can be captured in wax.

Time to light my candle!

Soda bubbles Because this was another fun and “kid” type aroma, I decided to burn this candle in my boys game room, aka, their “man cave.” It’s always fun to get their thoughts on candles I burn and review, and this candle, they loved! Their game room is medium in size and ended up being a perfect space for this candle. Once the wicks were lit, it took a good half hour before the aroma was really permeating the room and once it did, it smelled bubbly and citrusy. My boys loved the fizzy component and reacted just like I did, both couldn’t believe they could actually smell the carbonation – just like a soda pop. The fragrance itself smelled a little more citrusy than 7-UP which makes sense. The description reads, crisp lime and zesty lemon, and that’s exactly what I smelled.

Strength – I would rate this candle a 10 out of 10 in any size room. It was pretty darn strong. The fragrance filled my boys game room, hallway leading to their bedrooms and even traveled up the stairs. Loved it!

How did my candle burn?

The wicks the first half of the candle struggled a bit but once the halfway point hit, the flames stabilized and it burned fine from then on out. It burned clean and evenly till the very end.

Closing to my review:

I really enjoyed Summertime Soda Pop and am bummed I didn’t purchase a few more when I had the chance. This candle isn’t listed on their site right now but I’m sure Bath & Body Works still has this scent in their stores. Should you see this scent when you’re out and about, smell it. The bubbly component will not only tickle your nose, it will also make you smile. It sure did me.
