Bakery scents are my first love, so it’s no surprise I wanted to dive into this Sugar Cookie wax melt from a new-to-me company, Lovy’s World. We stumbled upon Lovy’s World during our weekly Etsy prowl, and we couldn’t believe our eyes with these Sugar Cookie wax melts…they looked so realistic! Just how good would they smell? Time to find out!

Can you say cute? Ohmygoodness, the adorableness of this Sugar Cookie wax melt was beyond our expectations. Each cookie came protected in bubble wrap and in it’s own plastic wrap. The cookie itself was soft and had a realistic buttercream frosting on top, complete with sprinkles. This was a good size cookie, too. The only ding we give is because the scent/company names weren’t on the actually melt packaging. We have tons of melts in our office and it’s way too easy for a stray melt to end up someplace and then we’ll never figure out who made it or what scent it is. As we know many wax addicts with similar problems, we really give high marks for easy product identification.

Smelling this Sugar Cookie wax melt was like smelling a real sugar cookie. There was a bit of sweetness to it and some buttery notes. The scent was light on cold sniff, and I did get a bit of a waxy smell. Looking at the scent description I found:

I couldn’t bear to cut up my sugar cookie, so I placed it all in a large 24W hotplate melter. It was not long after that we noticed the unmistakable aroma of freshly baked cookies. Mmmm, mmm, good! It was like a vanilla sweetness – not heavy and no spices. The creamy buttery notes were there, but not as much as I would have liked. Still, most people thought I had just baked a fresh batch of cookies when they walked in the room. Sorry not sorry!

Scent Strength & Scent Throw
The scent strength of this sugar cookie wax melt was on the light to moderately strong side. It was light and airy, not heavy or thick. The scent throw itself was really fantastic, as I could smell the scent of “baking cookies” all throughout the lower level of my home.

Melt Performance
I used the entire wax melt in my 24W hotplate melter, but I really could have gotten away with a half or even a quarter of the wax melt. It lasted most of the day with me turning the melter off and on. The following day, I noticed a dropoff, but I was still able to smell the aroma in the space it was in.

Conclusion
We are head over heels in love with the Sugar Cookie wax melt from Lovy’s. It was not only adorable to look at, but it was also a lot of fun to melt and enjoy. The scent is not going to bowl you over, but it’s strong enough to trick visitors into thinking you’re a baking queen or king. Try it out…if you love bakery, you will love this one!
