First Impression:
I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about the scented melts from Food Network so I of course wanted to see for myself. I headed to my closest Kohl’s to check out the selection and ended up with a few bakery scents to start off with. This review centering around Southern Peach Cobbler.
First thought…. these melts are expensive!! $7 bucks for one little clamshell pack? That’s crazy!! My Kohl’s had them at 50% off which made them more reasonable… not sure if that’s a marketing ploy or what but I don’t care how good wax smells… I’m not paying 7 bucks for 2.5 ounces of wax. No way!!
First sniff… Yum!! The wax smelled strong… super bakery and all peach. Sweet delicious peach with whiffs of buttery crust. Loved how this wax smelled. I couldn’t wait to melt these.
Melting:
It took not even 5 minutes once I placed the wax in my electric melters to start noticing the scent. Mmmmmm!!!! Peach lovers… you will be addicted to this one. This scent is ALL peach with yummy hints of bakery dough. Here is the scent description for this fragrance:
“Perfectly ripe Georgia peaches simmering in brown sugar beneath golden-brown biscuits.”
YUMMO!!!! That description is pretty accurate. This scent is solid peach with hints of bakery goodness. I really liked it.
Strength – these melts gave a nice medium scent throw. Not super strong but steady. I would totally recommend this scent if you love peach. Buy them on sale though… they aren’t worth full price. My 2 cents. 🙂
Happy melting!

whoa yeah, i had to do a double take when i read the price of these bad boys on this post. i’d never buy them full price either. but a good peach cobbler scent is hard to pass up. i had the peach cobbler candle by yankee candle that i adored but just wished (as always with yankee) that the scent throw was stronger.
