First impression of Snickerdoodle from Swan Creek:
Cookie lovers rejoice! I’ve smelled my fair share of Snickerdoodle fragrances but none smelled quite like Swan Creek’s version. The majority I’ve tried were more of a strong cinnamon bakery, nothing smooth or delectable about it. Swan Creek’s version was the total opposite and I loved every second of it!! The wax smelled like a warm doughy cookie with the perfect hint of cinnamon and it was exactly what I’ve always imagined this cookie to smell like in wax. Warm dough with a hint of cinnamon. YES!
Here is the scent description from Swan Creek’s website:
Your friends will wonder where the cookies are! Cinnamon, butter and sugar make this irresistible!
Yep, but I would add the base to this scent is a vanilla cookie, then butter and sugar, then topped off with a sprinkle of cinnamon. That’s what I smelled and I loved it! Now let’s see how it performs once melting!
Melting:
For testing purposes, I used one cube each in two electric melters in my great room. Once melting, it didn’t take long before the aroma was moving through my living space and oh boy was it yummy!! My entire great room smelled like a warm vanilla cookie with teeny hints of cinnamon just like it smelled on cold sniff. This fragrance was very edible and 100% yum!
Strength – I would rate this scent an 8 out of 10 in a really large room. 10 in medium to smaller rooms. Not bad for a vanilla bakery.
In closing, I’m so happy I’ve finally found a Snickerdoodle fragrance I like. It only took 8 years.
This is a must try cookie lovers. You won’t be sorry.
Happy melting!

I can only speak for the Swan Creek Snickerdoodle jar candle. I assume they use the exact same wax and fragrance as they do for their melts.
The Snickerdoodle jar I purchased via direct their site, was a January 2019 pour for a March 2020 purchase. The top surface of this candle was crumbled, and the cold smell was limited to bare. After lighting the candle and allowing it to properly pool for over an hour. This Swan Creek Snickerdoodle jar had absolutely no throw for a medium size kitchen. You can imagine my disappointment.
Hi Becca,
Sorry your candle didn’t have any scent. Swan Creek candles have always been lightly scented for me. When I buy one to review, I always burn them in super small rooms for the best scent throw. That’s why I mostly stick with melts with this brand – the melts are generally stronger.
