First impression of Pistachio Ice Cream:
The first thing I have to say… what a darling candle this was. DARLING!! The entire candle was wrapped in a gorgeous and bright wild flower pattern on a white background. Even the flat black lid on top added a striking contrast to the overall appearance. I truly loved everything aesthetically about this candle.
Okay, now onto the scent. I’m not generally a big fan of pistachio scents but this candle smelled really good. With my nose up to the wax, the pistachio was loud and clear, but I also smelled a stronger sugary and creamy vanilla blended with it and it was delicious. My favorite part? The pistachio didn’t overpower the vanilla. Most pistachio’s I’ve tried tend to overwhelm everything else it’s blended with but this one didn’t. Loved that!

Mmmm!! That’s what I smelled with the pistachio and vanilla… a touch of almond blended with the sweetest and most delicious cream. Bakery lovers… this one’s a yum!!
As a bakery lover, I’m now drooling! Time to light my candle!
I lit this candle in my master bedroom to start out and realized a few hours in that it needed to be moved to a medium size room. The strength was simply too subtle. Once moved – much better! The fragrance… it reversed on me. It went from a scrumptious creamy vanilla and pistachio to a stronger pistachio and creamy vanilla. Even though that happened, I still enjoyed the heck out of this candle. My guest bedroom was filled with the aroma of pistachio, creamy vanilla and almond. My favorite part… this candle was SO gorgeous to watch burn. The candle glowed beautifully making the floral pattern on the vessel really stand out. I loved that.
Strength – I would rate this candle a 6 out of 10 in a really large room. 8 in a medium and 10 in a small. Not super strong but it gave a nice and steady medium scent throw.
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned perfect. Zero wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish.
Closing to my review:
Pistachio Ice Cream smelled just like the description states. Pistachios blended with sweet vanilla ice cream. It was very creamy and delicious. So, if you’re a fan of pistachio fragrances, this candle has your name written all over it and one I highly recommend. Will I purchase this one again? Probably not. I liked it, I just didn’t *love* it enough for a repurchase. Crazy as this sounds, I liked watching this candle burn much more than I
liked the fragrance. It truly was so pretty to watch flickering against the floral pattern of the candle. ?
Want to purchase Pistachio Ice Cream? I don’t see this candle listed in Bath & Body Works website right now but I’m sure it’s available in Bath & Body Works stores. Their stores tend to carry all their current scents vs online. It wasn’t that long ago I purchased this fragrance.
