First impression of Peppermint Snowflake:

Peppermint Snowflake was a scent I couldn’t wait to review from Goose Creek. I love peppermint candy scents and I especially love to burn them around Christmas when I’m craving a little something more crisp and sweet. My family loves this scent too so it’s a win/win.

Here is the scent description from Goose Creek’s website:

Ambersweet mandarin is blended with peppermint extract and crushed candy canes for a cool and refreshing experience. Creamy vanilla and vanilla sugar add a sweet, creamy finish for a decadent holiday treat.

Ambersweet mandarin? I have no idea what that is. Smelling the wax, this scent was all peppermint and vanilla. At least to my nose anyway. I didn’t smell any mandarin but we shall see once I light the wicks and let it burn for a while. Who knows what notes will come to life once the candle is burning.

Time to find out!

I lit this candle in my master bedroom to start out and soon after, I moved it to a really small bathroom. The strength was pretty subtle and the performance seemed better suited to a small room. Once moved and I gave it some time to fill the room with scent, I came back to the aroma of sweet vanilla and peppermint. Nice but very light. That was the only bummer. 🙁

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 4 in a small room and because of that, I wouldn’t even attempt burning it in anything bigger. It was that light.

How did my candle burn?

This candle had a rough start. The wicks lit right up but about an hour in, the flames fizzled out into little nubs causing the candle to burn unevenly. Once I emptied a bit of wax out to give the wicks some breathing room, they stabilized and burned much better.

Closing to my review:

Peppermint Snowflake was a nice and crisp sweet peppermint… I liked it, I just wish the strength would have been stronger. That was basically the only negative to this candle. I may try it again down the road to see if I get the same result… will edit this review once I do.
