First impression of Peanut Butter Sugar:

I’m a bakery girl and the label on this candle drew me right in. Pictured on the label showed a waffle cone stuffed with what looked like vanilla ice cream. Not sure what that has to do with the scent name, Peanut Butter Sugar, but hey… I’m game!!

Creamy peanut butter ice cream is tucked into a sugary vanilla waffle cone to create this rich, delectable treat.
Top : Fluffy Marshmallow, Peanut Butter Blend
Mid : Vanilla Bean, Warm Butter
Base : Vanilla Dipped Waffle Cone

So that’s where the ice cream comes into play. Sounds yummy! Looking at the rest of the description, I was practically drooling. Fluffy Marshmallow? Warm Butter? Vanilla Bean? Oh yes please!! Smelling the wax, I didn’t smell a whole lot of peanut butter but I sure did waffle cone, marshmallow, vanilla and sugar. Mmmmmm!! It smelled positively edible and a scent I couldn’t wait to start smelling throughout my bedroom.

Let’s get to it!

I lit this candle in my bedroom and let it burn a good hour before I came back to check on it. The aroma… very light! So light, I ended up moving it to a much smaller room for maximum scent throw. A bathroom. I know that sounds too small for a 2-wick candle but it was actually perfect. Once moved, the fragrance filled my guest bathroom with solid aroma and even spilled out into the hallway which was an added bonus. The scent… a vanilla bakery with hints of (and I mean hints of) peanut butter. To me, this scent was solid waffle cone, vanilla and marshmallow with barely any peanut butter. In fact, I put that to the test and asked all three of my fella’s in the house what they smelled. Not one said peanut butter but they all said vanilla. ?

Strength – this was not a strong candle. I would rate this candle as follows – on a scale of 1 to 10. 4 in a large room. 6 in a medium and 8 in a small.

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned fine. I did have to keep up with wick maintenance the first half of the candle to keep the flames in check but after that, the flames stayed a perfect size and it was a breeze from then on out.

Closing to my review:

Peanut Butter Sugar smelled pretty darn good but keeping it real… it didn’t smell anything like peanut butter. Not to me anyway, and I was perfectly okay with that. What I could smell was a delicious bakery. A perfect blend of waffle cone, marshmallow and vanilla cream. The only downside, it lacked the scenting power to fill even a medium size room. Other than that, great scent.
