Candlefind has been around on the world wide web since 2003. That is a long, long time! With that being said, you can imagine how many articles, tips/tricks, and candle reviews have been posted. Candlefind came under new ownership in 2017 and has been changing through that time. We briefly went off-line, but we are back and rebuilding. While we have a ton of new & exciting content for our readers, we did have to decide what to do with all this prior content. We decided to salvage and save the majority of the information and re-present it here, on our new site. Read more about our decision and how we think you can benefit from it.
The Beginning

Christina helped the site grow even more and had a keen focus on Facebook. During her hey day, the site was ginormous and included features such as a review board and an internet forum. Christina was a power burner and posted dozens of candle reviews up on the site. In addition, there were several reviewers, such as myself, who added to the many, many reviews that were posted. As the site grew, there were also plenty tips and tricks on candle and wax melt usage.
The Search for Perfect SEO
As the content for Candlefind grew, Christina did have a handful of major site revisions made to the website. Some of the older content was rearranged and reorganized and newer information was categorized for better search engine optimization (SEO). The screenshot below is one of our favorite revisions to the site, as it was eye-appealing with a wealth of information and reviews.

When Christina was ready to sell Candlefind, it seemed like the perfect time to me, as I had become Christina’s right hand woman. I took control of Candlefind in 2017, determined to help it navigate through a changing world, internet, and the explosion of the wax melt market. As I had zero experience running a website, there were more changes, more SEO chases, and loads of changing web links. Cue the violin music!
The New Candlefind
Fast forward to 2025 and here we are. The Candlefind Team is now just myself and my best fur friend, Holly Berry. I also get a ginormous amount of help from my web gal and virtual assistant, Christine (not to be mistaken with Christina). While we are the same Candlefind, we are totally different…if that makes sense. We have a new, standardized process for testing candles and wax melts, some nifty DIY projects, and loads of information to share. While SEO is still important, our focus has shifted more towards the content we believe is important to our readers and that will bring the traffic we need and seek.

With the new site, however, we were left with a decision on how to handle all that prior content. A lot of the reviews are still valuable and the articles – such as how to candlescape – are still pertinent to today. That’s why we decided to dust them off and re-present them back on our new site.
From The Archives Series: What To Expect
We are now going through each and every one of the prior reviews and articles that were posted since 2003. We are handpicking which ones we are going to restore and will be slowly reintroducing them back to this website. For clarity, the Archives are articles and reviews that have been posted between 2003 – 2017, when I gained ownership of the site. As there are literally hundreds of articles to go through, this will take us some time.

When posting back on our new site, we will clearly mark which articles are from The Archives and include the date of the original post as well as the author. Some of the candles and wax melts are still available for purchase today. For those scents that have been discontinued or for companies that have closed, we still think that information is important to restore. If you have difficulty finding something you would like to try, be sure to check out our guide for finding discontinued candles.
The Old & The New
With all the changing of hands, stops & starts, there has been one constant – our loyal readers & fans! Candlefind has found it’s way to survive through your ongoing love, support, and constant suggestions for improvement. We certainly appreciate you! While blending together the old content with our newer site and direction, we will make every effort to make it as seamless as possible.

As we continue on through 2025 and beyond, our focus will be shifting more towards reviews of samplers and candle subscription box services. This content will be slowly introduced as we busy ourselves with restoring Archives to our site. In time, you’ll notice less and less of the single candle/wax melt reviews and more of the reviews on samplers and subscription boxes.
Change can be hard and can certainly cause confusion. One thing that we know that doesn’t change…our love for candles & wax melts! As we marry the old with the new, we hope you continue to find the wealth of information that you need…and more!
