  1. I'm at school this morning, but last night I started EW Salty Sea Air after Nene's Pink Sugar lasted forever!! I think I might have to get the kitchen krumbles or at least a bakery bar in that scent with my next Nene's order, so I can PINK-ify any scent!

Unfortunately, it will be a long time before I order from her again, not because I don't like her scents but because A) I'm on lockdown, B) summer's almost here, C) I've ordered twice from her and none from other vendors I want to try.

Salty Sea Air is really strong, a nice ocean scent for anyone who likes those.

  2. Tonight I am happily melting my new SH candles. They are both great, but I think Blackberry Jam Butter Cookies is a bit stronger than the Mixed Berry Crumble.

Would you say that you're happy that you stepped outside the Yankee Candle box?

Yeah, I second what Bigred is saying. Jason and anyone else who recently tried SH candles, what do you think of them?

This morning I am melting YC Vanilla Lime, and I really like it! Normally I am not a big vanilla fan, but the lime really makes a nice blend. (Probably wouldn't get it in the big jar, but the tart is great.)

  3. Happy anniversary mpfand and scentedstamper!

Glad you are OK, cbgirl. Natural disasters are so scary!!

Tonight I've been melting Midnight Pomegranate from EW. Maybe my nose is just burned out, but I can hardly smell it. I've enjoyed many of Riss's scents but this one is doing nothing for me...later on I'm going to light my YC Fresh Cut Roses candle. I got some real roses yesterday, so hopefully the fragrance will enhance their presence!!

  4. Heidi, nice to hear about Nene's Juicy Fruit because I have that exact same tart sitting in a drawer somewhere!! She threw it in as a freebie last time I ordered from her. Not sure when I'll get around to melting it, though. This morning I'm melting another one of hers, Good Day Sunshine. I really like the citrus scent, so far I just wish it were stronger. But the tart is not even all the way melted yet, so I will see if the throw improves.

I'm off to Yankee this afternoon!! :P

  5. Lisa, so sorry to hear about what happened to your poor DH!! We're all very thankful that he's OK.

Safe travels, Eileen, and have a great trip! :)

Tonight it's Mediterranean Fig from EW. The strength is perfect and I like the smell, although after the sweet MD tart I had going, it almost smells a little bitter or dark in comparison. But I'm convinced it's just the order of scents and nothing bad about this one.

  6. Hi all. Congrats to your DD, Mamalana! And Mpfand, so sorry to hear about your awful day. I'm glad you got a prescription, hopefully it won't happen again.

Today it's remelt #2 of the lemon sugar & violet petits four scent from Mookie Doodle. This scent is really fabulous. Really hard to describe, it just smells awesome. I'd highly recommend it and I'm glad there's another one waiting in my stash.

Next I think I'll pop in something from EW, but that won't be until every last hint of scent is used up from this one!!

  7. That's really good to know, Mpfand! My nose doesn't like scents that are too perfume-y either. That's actually why I was attracted to the juniper & aloe one in the first place, because it sounded fresh and clean (but not chemical-y clean). Maybe I will go with the big candle for Avocado & Cilantro after all...

  8. Hope your sense of smell returns soon, Bigred!!

I am kind of scent-obsessed today. After I melted the lemon/violet tart (looking forward to the remelt BTW!) I burned my YC Beach Walk candle, then switched to Cinnamon & Sugar. Haven't really had the latter one going long enough to form an opinion, but the cold sniff sure was nice!

Now I have to study for my German test tomorrow.... [smilie=th_c032]

  9. Hi all, my name is Christy. I'm 25 and I've been married for almost 3 years. DH is a law student (about to graduate) and I'm working on my PhD in music. We have no kids yet, maybe in a few years, but that is undecided. I would LOVE to get a cat but I am allergic, so I get allergy shots each week in hopes of someday being able to have one. I'm originally from North Dakota and DH is from Nebraska.

The other forum I like to visit is Pricescope (http://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/), which is a very informative site about diamonds and other jewelry. The Show Me the Ring section is my favorite. But CF is a lot more personal, and I can participate WAY more since buying tarts and candles is obviously WAY more affordable than expensive jewelry.
