cat - my husband called and said my lol order is here also! Later tonight I will check it out. I am glad to hear you are happy so far! :(
-
I'd like to say welcome, too, Jason. My sons both are candle burners - and get a lot of grief from their friends for it!
-
Well, I have pulled out the effusion lamp...I had a sick kitty last night and P-U! Hopefully the odor eliminating properties from these lamps will help in a hurry. (Yes, that is her to the left!) Using LaTeeDah's Stay Awhile lamp oil.
-
woohoo! This is a nice forum! I was offline since yesterday afternoon, (somebody has to get the work done! LOL!) and what a surprise!
I am melting an oldie - Lighthouse Candles sandalwood.
-
oooh - lavendar cream! That sounds wonderful. I am becoming obsessed with anything lavendar. I used to think only old grandma's liked it! Almost every Aroma Natural candle I sniff and like has lavendar listed in the fragrance blend.
Today is YC vanilla oak in the melter.
-
mp - I love the YC sun and sand. I didn't think I liked it after I bought it, but I kept opening the top and sniffing it when I walked by (way too often!) and I finally had to admit that I liked it after all.
Today was Beanpods lavendar and eucalyptus beads - very intense. Tonight I opened my order from Sheba's Secrets - amazing TAT!!!!!. I ordered 1/6. I am melting the blackberry vanilla and it is quite nice, my husband senses mainly vanilla so it is not too overwhelming with berry. The cold throw on Holly Berries is so good I can hardly wait. I will have to pretend the red makes it a Valentine scent!
-
Hi Shannon, I am so glad also that you are no longer lurking! I also am an Oregonian and was quite lonely reading everyone talking about the rest of the country! LOL! I just moved from Beaverton to Hillsboro. Have you ever gone to the Pacifica outlet? They had a wonderfull booboo sale in NW PDX that I missed a year or so ago. Hope you stick with us!
-
Gosh, trep, that sounds scary! And, like Boogie, I really get cranky when I start off with a reaction to my melt...my scent headaches are awful!
Today is Aroma Soy Orchid Rain. Just a half, though, until I see the effects! LOL!
-
trep - the wall burners are best for mini tarts and soy. They often do not melt the hard tarts.
-
I have changed tarts to an unknown, unlabeled, tan and heart shaped tart... and if has very little scent! I wonder what it is, lol!
Trep - the black cherry I have is a sample, but was being melted on a plug-in wall melter with a bulb,(have you seen those? Not the flat plate kind,) and it filled the large bathroom. It reminds me of cherries in pies opposed to cough syrup or to the amaretto cherry which makes me gaggy! I would order it again.
-
Black Cherry from Dreamtarts. Cherry is hit or miss with me as sometimes it gets a little to Amaretto-ish. This one does not, it is a good one!
-
I have been also cleaning out my stash - and I found a couple samples that I was sent that simply say "sample" - no company or scent. I have not idea how long I have had them. : (
I have one going right now that is a very odd combination of ?amber and floral. I am curious to see what the other will be like.
-
Burning YC Gourmet Vanilla in the office, Dreamtarts Exotic Teak in the Bedroom. (Smells alot like the Gain fragrances to me.)
Mom - thanks for the description. I may have to try it - I love unusual names. I am awaiting my 1st LOL order, sent yesterday. And, I know what you mean about the tea light burners. I always try the others but ultimately come back to these.
-
Mornin'! Mom - I have not smelled the undies - I'd have no idea what to expect?!! How is it? I am trying to decide between Aroma Naturals Peace, and La Tee Dah's Monogrammed Linens. Both are in tins and have been sitting on the shelf since I found the hot sale on them about 3 months ago. (11.50 reg, on sale for 3.99).
-
I pulled out an old one, Hawaiian Breezes, a chunky pillar from Contemporary Candles. Mild throw - but with the two tone blue chunks it is nice to look at! ( I am so spoiled by the tart's throw it sure makes it hard to be happy with candles!)
-
Good morning! I am melting 1/4 of a large tart from Bella - red velvet cake. Even this small amount is strong!
-
I have been home for the afternoon so I have been melting like a mad woman. I have Woodland
Cabin from Angel Scented Candles in the living room, Home Sweet Home from Buckeye in the master bath, Black Pearl oil from ScentSation in the bedroom. All have moderate throw so I don't have to worry about them clashing with each other.
-
Olive, I saw those and did not realize that the outside remained and the center was the candle. That is much better - I couldn't imagine how bad that would look with those "cookies" melted up against the glass. (I should have looked under the lid. eh?)
Tonight's flavor probably will be an older tart I found in my collection...stockpile? It is called Rainy Night in Georgia by Colours and Scents. I have no idea what to expect!
-
Olive - is that the gel candle with the glitter? If so, I thought those were very unusual and very pretty!
I am finishing Dreamtarts Raspberry Chocolate Drizzle. It keeps going, and going!
-
I am finishing the Dreamtarts Christmas Trees and have Aroma Naturals Chai Tea in the line up for later. Happy New Year!
-
Hi Cat - is that the one I also ordered? Did you use straight oil or did you mix it with water? (That does sound like a wimpy bulb).
-
Once again I purchased a candle from Pier 1 because I loved the cold throw...you think I would learn that everytime I do this I am diappointed with the throw once it is lit! So, I used it in my mosaic candle holder for a few days as all I need there is the light inside. I was about to throw out the little nub and decided to see what would happen in a melter with a tea light. Way better! That small piece of Asian Spice candle as a tart has enough throw to cover the bathroom.. Not a lot, but certainly more than as its life as a candle!
-
I am burning Pacifica's Pacific Red Ginger this evening.
-
Yep, Cat - I got the last one! She told me that "someone posted about them and they have flown off the shelf - after just sitting there for quite awhile! Hhhmmm...what power we candle ladies have! LOL! I also got very fast service, (but I had a Paypal snaffu so we had to chat).
Tonight is a very new tart for me. I have a sample of Luxe's Figi Island, a soy tart that is very tropical. So far I really like it! Not very wintery, but I couldn't wait to try it!

fleur - warning! The emoticons are addictive, too! :(
This is my first tart from Candles by Victoria. Whooie - it is strong! Dewberry, I think I need to put it out for a bit. They are small, so I used 2. Won't make that mistake again!
