Tara's Pink Creme Brulee Cookies in the bathroom. A freebie and once again not my thing, but I like putting bakery blends in the bathroom. Don't spend alot of time in there, so no big whoop
Orchid Lake Meadow Mist in the bedroom. Love it - in the same vein as Fresh Cut Grass - so nice.

Hi all! Getting settled in after a long day and night at work. I can't wait for them to light the heat pilots in the complex - I'd have it blasting tonite, believe me
They usually don't turn it on until Oct. 1st, but if people start complaining, they do it earlier. They did last year for sure - it was pretty cold this same weekend, and it was 58 in my apartment - not fun! Riding about 64 now - blanket time Tonite's melts:

Evening, everyone! Had a crazy busy few days and didn't melt much because I wasn't home. Went to the Red Sox game Tuesday night (so much fun!), got home late, worked yesterday afternoon, relaxed for a few hours, and went out to meet former co-workers at the restaurant we worked at about 15 years ago. Got home WAY late, a wrong number woke me up early this morning, couldn't get back to sleep, and worked tonite. I'm BEYOND exhausted and look forward to being lazy again - I'm too old for a social life
Somewhere in all of that I melted: Orchid Lake Dragon's Blood, Orchid Lake Warm Mahogany Spice, and Ecco Lights Mistletoe and Ivy.

Hi everyone! The sun will finally come out tomorrow afternoon! I think we'll all go blind when it happens
So rainy and dreary for several days - makes the thought of Fall coming even more depressing. I know everyone loves Fall, but all it means to me is Winter is coming. I don't like Winter one stinking bit candlelove - right with ya on the Jersey Shore thing. Dumbest.show.ever. but I love it so much!

Good evening! It was still yucky here today - rainy, cold and blah - same tonite. Over it
Went to Michael's and scored a great decorated box for my tart overstock - it's BIG and has a magnetic fold down closure - think it was only $12.99 too. Shifted things around, and loaded Tara's, LSC, County Line, Backroad Hobbies and assorted clams into it - it's full. Kept my AMS and Crosscreek ovals in the large picnic basket, and added my TDC tarts to it. Freed up a hutch shelf basket for my upcoming Front Porch order, and we're done. I hope?
Still have three baskets inside the hutch containing OLC, Shayz and CFTKR, LOL's are in a large basket on a shelf, and assorted loose tarts are in a small-ish shelf basket. Time to meltmeltmelt, yes? Tonite's smellies:

Hi all! It rained small farm animals all day and most of the night here
It was coming down to beat the band while I was out running after work errands around dinner time - always the way! Thank you, rain bands from former Tropical Storm Lee :angry: Jules - Happy you're back online! I was so glad I grabbed a car charger for my phone before Irene hit. It was nice to check Facebook and email for signs of life as I sat here in the dark for 38 hours, believe me :wacko:

Hiya candle friends! I had a super busy weekend between work and a lonnnnng day/night on Saturday due to a friend's wedding. Between the ceremony, the break before the reception, and the reception, it was a 12 hour day - good LORD!
Recent burnings: LOL Pineapple Cilantro, Shayz Totally Pink, Soy Breeze Pink Sugar, CFTKR Lily of the Valley, Cheryl's Witches Brew, and Universal Voodoo Big Bad Apple. All were great!

Get this - my sister still doesn't have power :blink: Her street had it at the beginning of it last night, and has progressed to the stop sign near her house tonite. Hopefully tomorrow - my lord! Tried to make an ATM deposit for the second time this week - my bank is still out too. Totally crazy. I'm gonna call tomorrow to see if they're open for customers during the day or what. I can go out of my way to another branch, but no clue if they have power either - I'll have to call them in case I strike out with my branch. I guess they've restored power to 80% of their customers, but it sucks if you're in that 20% - 4 full days now

I'm baaaaaack!
Lost power at 11:38am Sunday according to the stove clock, and it came back on a little over an hour ago. SO RELIEVED! The storm was pretty hairy around 2am Sunday - heavy wind! I slept in, turned over and switched by bedside lamp on at 10:30 - surprised it was still on. Fell back asleep I had a fair amount of ice in the freezer, so I loaded the coolers. Held up pretty well overnight. I went to my brother's this afternoon, and he got his power back at 1am yesterday (Monday). He had a 5lb. bag of ice left over, so I parceled it out in the coolers. Set off for more ice and there was none to be found. Decided to make a last ditch trip to Walmart (thought there would be NO way they'd have it since that town has 90% without power), and shazaam - they'd just finished loaded their ice chests - YAY! Grabbed a 20lb. bag, did a little shopping and came home to sit in the darkness once again.
A bucket truck and a pickup showed up at the transfer station across from my complex around 10. The bucket truck took off, but the pickup stayed. Neighbors ran out and asked what was up - he said sometime tomorrow. OK - I can take one more night
He stayed there for hours. I had just finished brushing my teeth when I heard my fridge start up. I nearly did a cartwheel down the stairs Waiting for the hot water heaters to do their thing and I'm taking the shower of all showers, believe me!!My Dad got his power back around 7pm, and my sister is still out as far as I know - about 20k people out in her town :( I'm gonna take two Advil PM after my shower, and I'm hitting the sheets!
I used my tealight melters twice, and man, did I miss my electrics! SO much stronger even though I stacked the tealights.
Sunday night was Orchid Lake Pink Cherry Bubble Gum
Tonite was LOL 32 degrees
Almost forgot! I got my LOL order from late July today - turned my frown upside down, I tell ya

Good late evening from blustery, rainy RI! Fingers crossed for all in Irene's path!!
So far so good, but it's super early in the hurricane. Rain/wind bands are coming and going - we're in one right now - nothing crazy. My apt. is buttoned up tight, I got all of my food prep done, gallon ziplocks full of water are in the freezer, and I just want it to be over with
I'm glad the meat of it will be during daylight up here - scarier at night for sure! I have two dozen tealights and that'll have to do until I can get my electrics going again

I have a good amount of food and water - praying I find one more loaf of bread, and I wanna get some snacks. Power on or not, I'll be kicking it old school with a generic AM/FM/Cassette Walkman - YAY
REALLY wanted to find a radio of some sort, but none to be found of course. Stopped into Rite Aid on a whim, and there it was. Local tv stations will be broadcasting from AM stations during the storm, so I'm all set - don't wanna chance the TV or the comp due to power surges. I also scored 6 large Touch Lights for $1.49 each - great deal. I have a ton of AA batteries, but grabbed two dozen more just in case. Have plenty of coolers, and will freeze water flat in gallon Ziplocks for cooler ice packs - great tip I read on the net!I could have power the entire time, but I'd rather err on the side of caution than be stuck with not much to work with! We just want this damn thing to be over with - we're ALL cranked up with the what if's, running all over creation to get prepared, and generally in really cranky moods

Kinda getting freaked out about Irene. We're gonna get the wind side - not good - pray we don't lose power. I have alot to do to prepare - actually think I'm gonna do an online order at Walmart and I'll swing by there to get it tomorrow - much easier to pay ahead and have it ready for me - that joint has been a ZOO from what I've heard. Definitely need a car charger for my Blackberry, but I'm not sure if my car's cig lighter even works If worse comes to worse, I'll ask the girl downstairs to let me use her car if things are dire. Wanna get a battery operated boom box too. Supermarket trip too for canned goods, more water, etc. EEEK! Tonite's melts:

Hey all! Happy Anniversary, Aria! :D
I was at work and didn't feel the quake at all, though people in town did. My Dad was talking to someone outside of his post office and didn't feel it, nor did my brother. Saw some cool stuff on the news about it. It was felt in 22 states (!!!) because our underground rocks are colder compared to the west coast, and if you feel it or not depends on what your foundation is built on - shale, etc. I geek out over scientific stuff like that, but not any damage they can potentially cause, of course.
Kinda worried about Irene heading up this way, though. We had Bob in '91 - 20 years ago last Friday. Had a decent run with that one w/no electricity for a few days. Better make sure I have enough tea lights to keep up with my scenting just in case

Hope your plans work out :DKatz - sending good vibes for Shagster - I would be beside myself :( My sister's female cat took off several years ago, and there she was waiting for her on the steps about ten days later. She was pretty dirty, but no worse for the wear. We put fliers up in her neighborhood asking people to check their sheds, garages, and basements - we worried that she wandered in while someone was cutting their lawn and she wouldn't be discovered until they had to do it again. Don't know if that's what happened to her, but it's something to think about. Hugs for you!!

Hi everyone! I've missed a few days here - got on a Fall cleaning jag and once that starts, forget about it. Must.clean.everything
Recent melts have been:
Orchid Lake Euphoria, Orchid Lake Oatmeal, Milk & Honey, LSC Cactus and Sea Salt, Crosscreek Fresh Cut Grass, Crosscreek Patchouli, TDC Vintage Vanilla, LOL Morgan's Rose, Tara's Bahama Coconut, and Tara's Biolage.
Morgan's Rose was fab - smells exactly like CYS Love Is Like A Red, Red Rose. Not a huge Rose fan because it's a heavy scent, but this one is a sugared Rose - really pretty.
Hope you feel better soon, Aria :)
