Dewy Cassis, Indigo Violet Petals, Lily Of The Valley, Cactus Flower, Night Blooming Cereus, Orange Flower Absolute, Bulgarian Rose Absolute Desert Lily, Patchouli, Sliver Birch Wood, Polished Amber, Vanilla Bourbon, Rum

Sorry not much help am i [smilie=th_pullhair]

Hmmm... Those sound like very "Laurie-friendly" notes! And the description that Maggie found is vague enough that it could be the same...

  2. So much for a creamy-dreamy vanilla scent. I went searching, and found a few others that tickled my nose.

OMG Candles "Pink Divinity Cheesecake" - this one is soy, and doesn't have much scent cold. I let it sit, thinking that the scent would show up, but it has been months, and nada. We'll just have to see how it melts.

Kim's Tart Candles "Cotton Candy" - another oldie, and the last one in the bag.

    Have a great night everyone!

  3. Laurie - I feel exactly the same way. Unless it is really yucky, I try to squeeze out all of the scent.

This afternoon's melts were 'Strawberry Margarita' and 'Lick Me All Over', both from Backroad Hobbies.

I'm not sure what I want to melt tonight. I think I'm going to find something rich and sweet, with lots of vanilla, minimal spice. I'll update later.

  4. Nothing is smelling right today. I melted CFTKR "Covered Bridges" for a while, but turned it off because it just wasn't what I was in the mood for. After that, I melted Kim's "Grannie's Homemade Apple Butter", and it fizzled into straight-up cinnamon after about 30 minutes.

I just put on "Bite Me" from Backroad Hobbies, and it is hitting the spot. Finally!

  5. Sorry to be MIA - I've been really busy lately, and most of my melting has been "same scent, whole house", which seems kind of boring to post...

    Recent melts:

whole clamshells of Scentsationals "Black Raspberry Vanilla" (lovely scent, glad I stocked up when it came out) and "Cupcake" (very true scent for about 2 hours, and then a bit plastic-scented - this is with a 24w plate warmer.)

Yankee "Sparkling Lemon" (Good at first, but turns a bit "lemon pledge" after a while... I melted the rest that I had in my stash, and I probably won't re-purchase)

Haley's "Pink Fruity Fruit", finished a bag (One of my favorite spring scents, and I need to remember to order more!)

Yankee "Macintosh", 3 tarts (always lovely)

and I finished a bottle of Slatkin "Vanilla Bean Noel" oil

See? Nothing new, nothing fancy. I'll try to do better this week! [smilie=th_Skratta_Bankabordet]

  6. I've got a couple of chickens roasting in the oven, so I just switched out the living room melter to something more...complementary. For now it is "Sugar Corn Pudding" from Missy's Tempting Tarts. Foody, but not so that it clashes with the chicken.

I've got a "Lemon Pound Cake" candle from MVP lined up to burn tonight. That should be it for the evening.

  7. [smilie=th_autumboy] I haven't changed my melters, but I have added a Simple Living "Apple Cinnamon" candle to the mix.

As a side note, is anyone else hating the new design of the Slatkin/BBW mini candles? The size hasn't changed, just the container and price. They are in GLASS, not plastic, and the price went up. They are on sale for 2/$5, instead of the 3/$5 that they did for the plastic mini candles. I also think they'll be harder to get the wax out of (for those of us who use these candles as tarts.) 8. Hey Jedda, I think one (the fruity) may be Berry Bewitching Brew and the other one (with the coffee note) is Witches Brew. Here are her descriptions of both:

BERRY BEWITCHING BREW: Top notes of peach, apricot, and blackberries, middle notes of mandarin, cinnamon and rose and nicely balanced with just a hint of woodsy musk

WITCHES BREW: a secret scent that is mystical

    Maybe that solves your mystery

You solved it! I blame the handfuls of antihistamines that I've been relying on for my allergies. The names are close enough that I didn't notice the difference.

Berry Bewitching Brew is the fruity one that I had in the stash, and Witches Brew is the one from my swap box. It was really nice, and I would reorder it in the future. (Though I would like to know what the "real" description is. I smell coffee, spices, and fruit... intriguing.)

  9. I'm melting Haley's 'Berry Bewitching Brew', a gift from a CF buddy. It smells wonderful, but not at all like the other bag of this scent that I already had on hand. The one that I had smells like straight fruit( apples, raspberries, oranges) mixed with cinnamon. The bag that I just received is totally different. I smell hazelnut coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, and raspberries. Smelling them side-by-side, I can tell that one of them is mislabelled, but I don't know which.

At any rate, this one is just lovely, and very strong. It has filled the whole living room in about 5 minutes!
