America’s Oldest and Largest Luxury Home Fragrance Company

The luxury home fragrance company Agraria was founded in 1970 by Stanford Stevenson and Maurice Gibson. Their signature Bitter Orange potpourri caught the attention of Henri Bendel’s director, Geraldine Stutz, landing the amazing fragrance at the front door of Bendel’s “Scentiments” shop. According to the New York Times, “the woodsy blend from San Francisco called Agraria turned up in half the living rooms on Park Avenue.”

This luxury brand now boasts a number of home fragrance products, including their legendary potpourri. The candles are in beautiful textured vessels and currently sold in two sizes. They also carry room sprays, luxurious soaps, reed diffusers, and scented tassels.
