Introduction to my review:
I love browsing Goose Creek’s website, especially when I’m on the hunt for a holiday themed candle. Not every company offers that and I love that about this company. Easter is a big one and it’s so nice that they offer quite a few choices for us candle addicts to choose from.
Cotton Candy Cooler first caught my attention with its bright aqua colored wax. It was striking and I couldn’t resist purchasing it. I love Cotton Candy scents too so it wasn’t too hard pushing me over the edge with this one. Any excuse to buy a candle is a-okay with me.
The label on this candle showed a huge fluffy ball of cotton candy on a stick… the color on the label was almost identical to the color of the wax. Very cool how they tied the colors all together. Even the wax had a mottled look to it that really looked like sugary and sticky cotton candy… like it was freshly spun and shoved into the jar. Very well done!
What did my candle smell like?
When I first popped off the lid to smell this candle… I thought the wax smelled like sweet and sugary apples with hints of berries. That was my first impression. Now for the actual scent description:
“The scent of sweet cotton candy on a beautiful spring day. Notes of sorbet, strawberry swirl, pink sugared plums, and sandalwood.”
Here is another description that perplexed me. I don’t see any apple in that description but I swear that’s what I’m detecting as the main component. The fragrance was sweet and fruity but it didn’t really smell like a classic cotton candy fragrance. Maybe I was picking up on pink sugared plums?…. Sandalwood? If it was there, my nose wasn’t detecting it.
I lit this candle in a small bathroom where it performed perfectly. The strength was nice and strong and every time I walked into the room… a fresh and sugary apple/berry scent hit my nose. I’m still holding firm… this scent smelled like sugary apple candy to me. It was really unique and a fun fragrance. If it wasn’t apples I was smelling, then it had to be sorbet and sugar plums… it was really hard to tell. I wasn’t expecting a classic cotton candy but if I ever spied a cotton candy that smelled like this, I’d be all over it. I can imagine tasting this sugary confection and am sure it would taste awesome.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I’d rate this candle a 7. It gave a pretty good scent throw for it’s size.
How did my candle burn?
My candle burned perfect. No wick issues, it burned clean with no soot or wasted wax.
Closing to my review:
This was an excellent fragrance that I enjoyed from beginning to end. I would categorize this scent under “fruity” and 
thought it was fun and bright… a *happy* scent that made me smile throughout the day. This wasn’t your average cotton candy scent… it was even better. It was different, colorful and fun! Highly recommend it if you love sweet and fruity scents.
