Introduction to my review:

I was dying to try Bunny Cupcakes from Goose Creek last year but missed the deadline to order so I was really glad to see it’s return this year and immediately ordered one to review.

This candle is so freaking adorable!! The wax was pure white and the label shows yellow cupcakes with green frosting decorated like grass with a white marshmallow bunny as the topper. So darling!

What did my candle smell like?

I can’t help but compare this candle to Yankee’s Bunny Cake which I reviewed last year. I do believe this is Goose Creek’sBunny Cupcakes Candle version – only 10 times better… to my nose anyway. Before I begin, let’s start with the scent description:

“Enjoy a Bunny Cupcake, it’s everyone’s favorite Easter treat. The first bite is lemon, orange and pear. The middle combines coconut, peach and baked accord. The bottom is warm with vanilla, whipped cream and caramel.”

Smelling this candle for the first time… YUM!!! Major bakery overload! I don’t even know what I was smelling either… it just smelled like sweet and warm cake. I wasn’t really detecting fruity notes… maybe coconut but very light. What I mostly detected was cake, vanilla and caramel.

I lit this candle in a large bedroom where it performed perfectly there. Once lit, it took about 30 minutes for the scent to saturate the room and once it did…. Mmmmm!! Yummy cake with hints of coconut and caramel. I loved it!! Strength wise… this candle gave a nice and steady medium throw… it wasn’t knock your socks off strong but decent. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 7.

candle-flameHow did my candle burn?

This candle burned perfect. Zero issues. It burned clean with no wasted wax.

Closing to my review:

I am so glad I finally got to try this fragrance. I had to wait a whole year to order it and have to say it was definitely worth the wait. Would I purchase it again? Absolutely!! It smells great and it’s a really cute candle. Don’t let the name fool you either – it’s not just for Easter… it’s a great overall bakery fragrance so definitely give it a try if you love bakery scents.candle-excited

Happy candle hunting!
