First impression of Biscuits and Honey:

If you love bakery scents like I do, then you’ve probably found yourself tempted (on more than one occasion) to devour a candle the moment you smell it. Well, not literally eat it but definitely contemplate it. That was me with Biscuits and Honey from 1803 Candles.

I think I’m falling in love with this brand. So far this is the third candle I’ve burned from 1803 and I’ve loved every one – but this scent….. SWOON!!! It smells like heaven in a jar.

Burning our Biscuits & Honey will take you to a special place around the breakfast table with layers of sweet, flaky pastry, vanilla bean, and golden honey butter. The vanilla bean is not over-abundant, but rather, a compliment to the luscious aroma of local honey whipped with fresh, creamy butter, and sumptuous baked goods. This soy candle will cause family and friends to wonder what you are conjuring up in the kitchen!

What a great scent description! Smelling the wax, I smelled it all, the warm pastry, honey, butter and vanilla. All of it and combined… it’s mouthwatering!! I even thought I detected a bit of spice but it was hard to tell. The true test will be to gauge the aroma once the candle is burning. And with that said, it’s time to find out!!

I lit this candle in a medium size room to test out and it ended up being a perfect choice. Once the wick was lit, it took a good 30 minutes to reach a full melt pool and from then on out… a mouthwatering aroma of warm bakery, honey and buttery vanilla filled my guest bedroom. The main dominating scent was definitely the pastry or maybe even a vanilla bread – then add the honey and butter all blended to perfection. Seriously bakery lovers… this scent is too die for! One I wish could become real so I could eat it with a tall glass of milk on the side. Those are my favorite kind of bakery scents… the ones that are so realistic, it almost amazes you.

Strength – in a medium size room, I would rate this scent a 7 out of 10. Not super strong but it gave a nice and steady medium scent throw. 10 in a small room. If you want to try large, I would burn 2 candles at once or go with melts which I know would definitely be stronger.

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned perfect. Zero wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish. A+

Closing to my review:

My final thoughts of Biscuit’s and Honey – Mmmmm!!!! Yum!! I wanted to eat it!! It was THAT good. So yeah… definitely give this one a try if you love bakery scents and want your home to smell like you’re literally baking something in the oven. Your family will either love you or not love you for daring to tease them with such a scrumptious scent.
